So what do you do when you paid for a delivery, then the driver comes out and refuses the delivery? Like, why did he even show up? Just to rub it in her face that he has her stuff but won't give it to her? He's just outright refusing to do his job. He is ridiculous so he should be met with an equally or greater ridiculous act.

Delivery people dont need to go inside your home, risk all sorts of legal issues, and install your products. Theres often a feature for that on Amazon itself, but cheapos skip it and then try to make the delivery driver do extra.

These companies need to stop shipping thing that weigh 300 lbs via Fed Ex and UPS. I did that job for a while and occasionally you'd get something well over 150 lbs which was supposed to be the limit

It's actually 170 lbs limit on a package truck. Anything over 70 is "heavy", but anything over 170 goes on a box truck with a liftgate, or it's supposed to!

So what was the situation here? I didn't quite get it. Did he have her stuff in his truck but couldn't take it out of the truck and deliver it because it was too heavy? Or did he not even have it in his truck and only had a note for her to pick it up from the depo? I'm a bit confused.

I work in logistics. We have people who actually try using fake tracking numbers and suggest we have a package that hasn't even arrived. It's insane. I've never witnessed something like this but I would have just laughed at her after calling the correct people.
What do fake tracking numbers have to do with a driver bringing an item to your house and refusing to give it to you?
@@freedustin You're stupid. He didn't refuse to give it to her. She demanded he bring it into her apartment. At complexes deliveries are placed in a common mail/delivery area not hand delivered to apartments. The delivery driver was under no obligation to do what she demanded. Furthermore she should be charged for detaining him.
Its a nice little break you get to take from your day and its her fault.
That’s not what happened at all. They are demanding for the delivery driver to take fridge inside for them. They did not pay for this service and the drivers are not insured to do it.
@@Mariamsadventure yeah that's one of the clips, but the first clip wasn't that at all. She said "to my door" not inside, not installing anything, just drop it at my door like a normal delivery. And the guy refused.

Why can't these guys do their jobs? I did deliveries for years, always took it to the door. If I was asked to bring it inside...I did. It's not a big deal to do the work you were paid to do.

@@jrcIII I did deliveries for over 10 years, just not for amazon/ups/fedex...there are other delivery services around ya know? Of course I'm not going to go work for a place that expects robotic work from humans. That's just not reasonable. Only taking jobs that let me use my own car. And no, I never took a job for heavy deliveries. But if you took a job that required a truck then you knew ahead of time what you were getting into. The truck was your clue it would be heavy.
@@jrcIII also, this driver didn't do his job. The item was on the list. He was told to take it to the door and he refused. That's not an extra service, Amazon's default is to the door.

I might get hate from my fellow conservatives, but I kind of am on these ladies' side...It is their property after all, and UPS, FedEx and Amazon deliverers do make a lot of people's deliveries harder and send them to a damn dropoff location for no reason, even when the person is home. What's the big deal for drivers just giving people what they paid for?
Well the first video the driver was trying to drop off the pallet or whatever but she was demanding more then he was required to do or if it was even safe to get the pallet closer. Maybe it was rough, uneven. 300 lbs may not be a lot normally with a pallet jack but give an incline or rough/uneven surface and suddenly your back is wrecked.
Second video the ladies wanted the fridge brought inside their home but the company the driver worked for isn't insured for inside residential deliveries. So if that driver went in there and something happened he would be 100% liable. Lose his job. They are crazy so who knows maybe they claim he rped them too. So I ask you what is the big deal with customers not making the appropriate arrangements knowing what they themselves ordered? That is something that has always made me wonder as a trucker myself.
I'm a USPS driver, and if it's not safe to deliver to someone's door, in MY opinion, then I don't have to. I don't carry big or heavy parcels up or down stairs. Luckily we have a union to protect us. I don't know the whole story as to what happened in this case.
One thing is for sure: if one of the customers on my route ever acted like that, she would never get mail or parcel delivery from me again. I'd fill out a safety form for workplace bullying and that would be the end of it. I've cut off mail delivery for less.

If your company does not cover (insure) you to take their packages indoor and you’re meant to leave it at the door, it is not your responsibility how they get it inside their house.

I'm really glad I saw this video. I'm going to be quite honest.. I'm not sure who to feel bad for the most here.
I'm a pretty frail middle aged woman, myself. I've never ordered a refrigerator online, much less anything that weighs a couple hundred pounds, but now I know to NOT do so.
I was under the impression that if I can buy something like that on Amazon that it would at the very least be delivered to my front door (not necessarily moved into my home & setup for me). But if I can't get it delivered To My Front Door, then Amazon shouldn't be selling such products! Either that or Amazon & UPS need to come to an agreement on how these packages can be guaranteed to be delivered.
I'm pretty old school anyway. I'll just continue to go into Home Depot or Lowe's and order my appliances, where the store will guarantee delivery & setup for an extra fee
Yeah most courier companies aren't insured for inside residential deliveries. And a company like Amazon will oftentimes subcontract deliveries to local companies which can have completely different policies then Amazon or whatever company subcontracting out. Like the company I work for often gets deliveries for Amazon or other big carrier companies and while normally for them doing things might be the norm but for us might be different like delivering pallets for example. We are only required to drop the pallet. I'm not required to open and bring it in or anything. Just get it off my truck or have you get it off my truck if tailgate hasn't been noted.

The last thing I want to do is give my delivery drivers a bad day because I carelessly & selfishly just ordered some obscenely big package that they're not required, willing or able to deliver. @@wellwouldyalookitthat Yeah it can be very frustrating at times for both the customer and driver. I try and use my best judgement and help the best I can but sometimes it's just not safe or possible. Like rolling up to a home and I have to back in on an icy hill I keep sliding down so I have to come in nose first and tailgate this 700lbs crate onto a bunch of wet snow with soft mud underneath. Sometimes I have to refuse.

The behavior is extreme. But They’re fed up with Amazon delivery drivers lying about deliveries, delivering to incorrect addresses, not following instructions. The problem is growing, and it costs people a lot of time and money because of lazy or dishonest drivers
