Wow! That was a great little cruise! Everything was spectacularly beauuuuutaful....the tall trees lining the banks with some really nice homes along the water. Canada is a wonderful place to go boating, fish, swim, and explore. I would love to spend a month or so exploring the waters of Canada.
Glad you enjoyed it TMac! This is a beautiful freshwater waterway and one we are proud of.☺️ We highly recommend it as a tourist destination (during summer months of course!) Have a great day!😎
That’s very true James! There’s no place like home!🩵 Glad you’re enjoying our journey as we showcase the Rideau Canal on our way to the finish line. Thanks so much for watching!😎
Glad you enjoyed this episode Tom! It was really special to have the loons so close. (I think we invaded their territory.) We just love this waterway. Thanks for watching!😎
Wonderful video. Great music to go along with the scenery and wonders of Big Rideau Lake. Our first boating experience was when we rented a Aylings cruiser from Merrickville to Jones Falls and back. It was an experience we will never forget and was the stepping stone to our boating and cottaging on the Rideau system. Looking forward to your next several videos as you cruise through our favourite part of the Rideau system and Opinicon Lake, our home lake. Loved the loons. It's always an amazing experience to share the lake with them. Thanks again for sharing your trip with us. It is appreciated.
Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video, one of your most pleasant. We have been all over the place, but when we return to our farm, in Ireland, we always realise to us the beholders, there is no where more beautiful. Even the people's faces, though we may not know them are familiar.
Thank you Gary! We also rented a boat from Peter Aylings… it was for our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it! The setting at this anchorage is second to none and the loons seemed to be welcoming us back. Thanks so much for watching and we can’t wait to share more of the Rideau with you… including Opinicon Lake.😎
Thank you Andrew for watching this episode! As they say “there’s no place like home!” Familiarity is a good feeling and we hope this episode conveys how we feel about this area.😎
Great to see you all enjoying the flash backs and it couldn't be in a more beautiful area. We enjoy the loons here at certain times of the year and that sound is one you never forget. Just compare that water to the miles of the other waters you have seen on the loop. The Mississippi, Florida, the Bahamas, and the Chesapeake. Great times to reflect and enjoy the ride it has been a great one and your viewers enjoy it also. Thanks a million.
As we come to the end of our loop, we have been doing a lot of reflection on the many amazing waterways. We feel lucky to have been able to experience this adventure and share it with our amazing viewers. As always, thanks so much for following along Buck!😎
Wow, wow, WOW! Such a gorgeous area of Canada! Many thanks for a special tour of your old haunts too! This video is definitely on of my favorites, well done! Malcolm, I don't blame you one bit for dipping a line in that cove, woulda done the same. Rachael, you've done a masterful job on the videos! Such a snappy salute Malcolm too, ex-mil possibly? I might have missed it, and so sorry if I did, but are you going to sell Stay Cool at the end of your Great Loop? Blessings, Dave & Cheryl.
Thanks so much Dave & Cheryl for your awesome comment!☺️ This is one of our favourite spots on the Rideau and we’re glad to show it off. Malcolm is not ex-military but he’s practiced his salute a lot on this trip. Yes we will sell Stay Cool at the end of our journey and we’ll explain why and talk about this at a later date. Thanks so much for watching.😎
Just lovely! Thank you for this glimpse of sanity in a crazy world.
So glad you enjoyed this episode and we’re happy to share this little piece of paradise. Thanks for watching John!😎

OMG, Rev and Sam! What a small world! Thanks for catching Here's To Us in motion.
Ya! We watched them prior to starting our own loop and it was really neat for us to see them and have a brief chat as we passed!😊
No matter how far you roam, there's no place like home! I really appreciated your past experiences with this particular Lake series.

One of my favorite videos. That drone footage of the lake should make anybody want to be there. The call of the loon makes me feel a little homesick.
