I am a tenant. I have rented my house for three years from my landlord who recently sold it to a management company who has offered me a month-to-month lease. This company rents homes for much higher rents than I currently paid for my three-bedroom home. They increased the rent by $100 and added a lot of insane stipulations d of several of the tenants on this block and several of the other homes owned by our landlord so they can rehab and rent for much higher rents. I have always paid my rent and plan to continue. Can the landlord kick me out for no other reason than to rehab and charge more money from a new tenant?
If your lease has come to an end, LL can choose not to renew.(same as tenant could). Or, if you're m2m, LL could give 30 day notice. Neither LL nor tenant has to give a reason to terminate.
Yeah I love month to month because when you sign a 1 year lease your stuck with the tenant lol I love the flexibility because it’s harder to get people out that have a 1 yr lease as opposed to a month to month lease idk great video tho However valid points however I disagree with her point about “knowing your going to get rent for a yr” hahahahahaha a lease doesn’t guarantee you rent
The clause about not moving during winter months is absolutely illegal. Month to month means month to month. It shouldn't matter. That clause is ridiculous.

Just FYI, a one-year lease is no guarantee the tenant will stay a year, and it makes it harder to get them to move if things go sour.

Yes my tenant gave me a 30 day notice that they are moving out. Do they still need to pay me rent for that month ?

Month to month was always the idea. than the land devils were told call them condos.you can own your own apartment.
