- The new Creative Pebble V3 review and unboxing is here! And they’re some of the best budget bluetooth enabled, USB C PC speakers under $50 / £50 I have ever tested! How does the Creative Pebble V2 successor hold up?
The budget friendly pebble V3 (3.0) from Creative labs have not failed to impress me, in the review and unboxing we will take a look at what these tiny budget PC speakers can do. We will check out the build quality, value for money and of course the sound, where I will talk specifics about things such as the creative v3 bass and more. I Will also go over your connectivity options in the review, which include Bluetooth 5.0, USB type C and AUX. Like the creative pebble 2.0 or pebble v2 it has clever elevated drivers for added immersion.
The Creative pebble offers portability at a lower price, with only a few minor complaints they’ve proved to be an excellent budget pair of PC speakers. Having USB type C is brilliant and its nice to see more companies such as Creative adopting that as the norm, that being said they do offer a USB C to USB A adapter, which most will find useful.
The minimal design is certainly an eye catcher, the pebble V3 would make a nice addition to any set up, especially with home working becoming a thing recently. I do wish there were more colour options to compliment the beautiful design.

amazing, unbiased review as always! :) love the editing and video quality, and the speakers themselves sound like they’ll be awesome too!- i’ll probably get them myself, since my current monitor’s speakers aren’t very good, but thanks for the review, and turning my attention to them in the first place!
Thank you so much, appreciate the support! Yeah they are a great budget pick, on looks alone I'd buy them!
Thanks for the detailed review! I think I'll pick these up
Awesome! You're welcome!
This is one of the best budget speakers under 50 bucks. Version 3 came with lots of improvements.
100% agree, they're excellent value for money and very portable which I like
Great soundtrack man! xD
Hi great review! Throwing aside the bluetooth functions, how does this differ from the pebble 2.0? In terms of sound. Thanks!
What a brilliant channel name.
Aha thanks|!
Just bought this week as replacement for my desktop -- $34. -- work great --
I have the gen 1 with my monitor for my Xbox, but may consider getting these. How much better are they then the 1st gen?
Wow, great quality video! On par with other channels with 100K subscribers if not better
Thanks mate, really appreciate it!
Great Review! Quick question can you power and connect audio through the usb c port when using the usb a adapter? Thanks
Thanks! Yes you can :)
I'm going with these for my portable workstation.
Awesome!
Look good! Hope they come in white to match my setup.
Yeah hopefully they will, I think they did the last ones in white!
Have there speakers in white for my new Mac studio and the sound is very very good , simple usb c into the studio and what’s great is the apple keyboard will control the volume - big 5 stars from me
The cable connecting both speaker looks thin.. is it reliable?
Can i play music without power supply connection ? I mean just like other battery operated Bluetooth speaker??
Hi I just received mine but am disappointed that no option for headphones?? Can you confirm this, thanks.
Difference between V2 and V3? Except Bluetooth, any sound difference?
Can i ask.i connected them with adaptor usb to type c on 3.2 port usb on my computer.when connected via bluetoooth the blue light pulsing the high gain and the sound is awesome.when i press the bt button to chance the connection to the usb th bluee light of high gain stands still that means i still have high gain sound but the volume is much lower than the bt connection.why?
I had doubts buying these. Boy was I wrong. The sound is freakin amazing 😳!! The highs and mids are super clear and crisp, tho it lacks the oomph cuz no sub. But for $40 u can use this for gaming, movies, music perfectly fine.
(Stay away from logitech Z200, same price but sound quality is horrendous. I returned them for these and couldnt be happier)
Hey thanks for this! I'm looking at these versus the Creative Pebble Plus ... any thoughts?
Youre welcome! I belive the creative pebble plus comes with a sub woofer? (From the top of my head) so depends if you will benifit from that or not, generally though you buy these for portability and that minimal look so I'd be inclined to say stick with these, they will also have the latest technology as they're more recent 👍
@@TechItEasyCollective thanks for the quick reply! Yes that's what I'm debating, newer tech versus older but with an actual physical sub woofer. I'm more inclined to think that the physical size limitations of v3 still won't be able to produce the same amount of bass as the one with the sub woofer no matter how advanced the tech gets, would you agree? Bluetooth and portability aren't key factors for me as I have other speakers for that.
I don't get why the V3s still aren't available in white
Have you used the v2 and is the a much of a difference other than Bluetooth to justify the change in price of £13? I'm debating between the 2 and want to know if the aux in on v2 be better than the usb-c on v3.
pebble plus 2.1 are the best
Can you turn off the dialogue enhancer? That feature always distorts mid-high sounds in music in my experience.
I'm pretty sure if you switch the switch at the bottom it turns it off 👍
So are the powered by the usb-c and require to be plugged in to an aux port to have the sound coming out if I were to use them for my monitor???
Yes you need to have them powered by the usb to work! (Sorry for slow reply)
I am undecided between these (PEBBLE V3) and the PEBBLE PLUS 2.1 what do you think? do I need a subwoofer?
i have 2.1 plus and they are just incredible the bass is just amamiznig if you will use them for music, watching movies... you should buy pebble plus 100%.
Could you please tell me if V3 is better than Pebble plus in terms of sound quality? I don't need bluetooth, I want to choose the better of these two.
it is almost not noticeable and the bass on the plus is way better
Do you know why they don't pair Pebble with a subwoofer anymore? How's the bass sound without a subwoofer?
incredible
02:07 - My wife says I hear voices even when no-one's around and the TV's not on :P
Hahaha 😂
That stone's title of the work must be "The meat"
HUGE QUESTION!!
So since this all done by usb-c, if I plug them into my ps5, would it work? Because I play using a monitor so if it does work, I don’t know if I’ll get better audio i they are plugged into my ps5 or monitor.
Sorry I missed this! So I'd want to say yes, of you plug it in it will be fine, but I have no way of testing it so I cant guarantee buddy
If the ps5 has a way to connect speakers than yeah. If it does have a way to connect, that would mean its got its own audio drivers and codec for proccesing sound. The PS5 would probably do a better job with audio than your monitor. Ofc, thats only for audiophiles, so there really is no difference in quality
I’m sad this isn’t being sold in Canada yet and creative doesn’t ship here... :(
Yeah I was wondering that! I tried to find a link for it ):
@@TechItEasyCollective i appreciate that. Emailed customer support and they basically seem to imply that we just gotta wait for Canadian distributors to start bringing it in and they have no idea when that’ll be lol :(
I got it from Canada Computers, you should try there

Between the V3 and the Plus 2.1, which would likely sound better? The speakers on the V3 seem to be better. The Plus 2.1 have the small woofer though. The V3 also seem to have considerably fewer cables. Decisions, decisions...
the sound quality is almost identical but the subwoofer makes a difference its great it has a clear punchy bass so yes 2.1 plus are better and 10 dollars cheaper.
@@ninnocka I ended up picking up a pair of Edifier R1700BT on a deep sale. Not disappointed at all.
So if I connect through USB-A the Bluetooth doesn't work?
Bluetooth will still work dont worry!
I have a Lenovo ideapad 500 notebook. I always keep it connected to power. I'd be using USB audio only as my inbuilt 3.5 mm jack is broken. Is it going to work fine with a USB A port? (For both power n audio without having to use a 3.5mm cable as i cant)
So you just connect the USB cable to the PC and the speakers will play the PC's sound already or you also need a jack cable?
@@DVTHEFOX I decided to buy the creative soundbar instead of this because you have to keep both these speakers connected to each other via separate cable. I am connecting my soundbar to the laptop via USB A to USB-C cable and it plays the pc audio over usb itself. There is no need to plug an additional 3.5 mm audio jack. However the soundbar also has an aux jack.
@@shakti.rathore and if a soundbar doesnt fits me?..
@@DVTHEFOX you can buy anything from creative that says "audio over usb" is available. It will most probably work.
Im having a problem and maybe someone here can help me. I just got my first PC and I also just got the pebble v3's anyways when I try to play any audio it skips a lot and I want to know how to fix it. Thanks for reading :)
Are you using Bluetooth? And have you ruled out any Internet issues? 🤔
I just got mine and I have the exact same problem, I'm not using Bluetooth!!
Would have been a lot more helpful if there was a demo clip of how the speakers actually sound. It's hard to agree/tell how good these are just with your verbal description. :/
A few people said this.. but seriously there is no point, the speakers will only sound as good as my microphone, and your phone speakers..so yeah i left it out aha!
@@TechItEasyCollective Yeah, I get that recording quality might not do the speakers justice. Guess it's a case of "be damned if you do and damned if you don't"! haha oh wells.
@@daren91 aha I know, honestly I do get that people want it, I did a sound test in my latest speaker video as people asked for it here.. either way though, sorry!
Forgot to give a sound demo
There no point as the sound would only be as good as my microphone, room acoustics and then your earphones /headphones, you wouldn't even get an idea of the sound mate
@@TechItEasyCollective would still appreciate a sound test tho
what improvement does v3 has over v2?
@nono4564 thanks for taking your time
Bluetooth
Creative Pebble V2.1 is a much better option, cheaper and ideal for gaming and watching movies. The subwoofer makes a huge difference.
did v3 sound louder than the v2 ? is it even worth the price increase?
I don't have my V2 anymore so can't do a comparison, but from memory there is definitely an improvement
@@TechItEasyCollective ok thank you boss
No worries, thanks for watching!
You get USB audio and Bluetooth connectivity for the additional price increase, so i would say its pretty worth it!
You get a like for the boobie joke in the beginning
There is no white version of v3?
Not that I can see im afraid!
Bruh turn down your contrast and lut 😬
Newbie mistakes lol
These are £28 for a reason and that reason is that you get £28 worth of quality and no more. Just bought these on 08/10/22 and I am disappointed as this channel and quite a few others said they were good. The bass is terrible. If you have little cash and need 'something' then they look okay on your desk. Other than that do some overtime and get some decent speakers as they sound rubbish.
spend lots more money buy decent soundcard amp speakers they might cost you more than £28 as you well know these speakers are very good for the money THEY ARE WHAT THEY ARE good sound for the reasonable price no?
@@ajgogo1233 nice use of capitals dickhead was you that kid in class that no one liked?
Blah blah turn the speakers on.
What good would that do? 😂 you'd be hearing them through my microphone then through your phone speaker, it wouldn't even give you an idea of what they sound like, a pair of kef speakers would probably sound the same through the camera 😂
@@TechItEasyCollective on the contrary. With a pair of headphones, one could definitely get some idea of whether a speaker sounds good or shitty, but whatever. It was a decent review, until I realized toward the end that you were gonna flake out on the sound test.
