We love Piccolos. Always eat there at least once when we are over on holiday as the food there is top notch. We have a holidya home on D35 and are not aware of any subsidence issues on D but there could always be the odd one and D is a large area. Part of our road is collapsed because of a big leaking pipe washed away the soil under the road but the houses are fine. We love that five paces from our front door and we are in the countryside with amazing views, walks and wildlife.

we had a villa on D26 for 17 years, no problems with subsidence, but did feel the occasional rumble, which caused minor cracks in walls, but nothing serious, best bits, fantastic scenery and good neighbours, our only reason for leaving was poor health. camposol has a good community spirit if you get involved and please try to learn a bit of Spanish and learn the customs

I recently got to see that show, found it on you tube. I knew upper C had issues but i was surprised to see them mention issues on B and D so it has me wondering now. It looked like the houses shown were only on upper C.

Hi Barry, the Homes from Hell was showing Upper C with the guys shed falling down and the problems on Upper C but yes there are some other properties on D & B that have some issues. That’s why I say come here and see for yourself before thinking of living here. Most are over 20 years old now and plenty of people live here. There are many other places around Spain that have problems that don’t get mentioned. As always, thanks for watching the videos 👍
...So you mention the weather extremes, the earthquakes..the faulty buildings & the squatters.... I'll bet people are just rushing to move to Camposol now..!!🤣
Hi Shaun. Sorry to see you are not well, hope Jan is perking up. Weather here is pants, cold, dull and a bit damp. Regards Camposol and specifically D sector, yes do your research before getting your villa shortlist together. When we came to visit, driving through B, C and D to the rented villa at car speed it didn’t fill Jan with joy to say the least. We viewed some villas on Day 1 which were not in good condition but to be fair, they were at the cheaper end of our list. At that point we thought we abandoning Camposol and heading to the minefield of the land of thousands illegal villas in inland Almeria for the next week. So much for those saying Camposol is the only place in Spain with issues - they clearly haven’t got a clue… wherever you are looking, buyer beware! But we went for a slower walk around where we were staying the next morning on D, saw how nice the plots and villas were away from the dodgy bits and Jan did a complete 180 on her first impression. A few days later as you know, we had viewed a few more and bought a solid, high and dry Neptuno on a larger than normal plot with A/C, heating, glazed D - all the necessary stuff including a 10x5 pool and underbuild on D. All that for the price of a 2 bed apartment pretty much anywhere else in Spain. We think we will be happy there, it is a good platform to adapt to “make it ours” - and of course the urbanisation is well served with amenities and the wider area has so much to offer. The one thing I do find a bit unattractive are the areas where the streets are very narrow and the perimeter walls of the villas are high. But that is just personal preference. 👍 Get well soon both of you.
