In this tutorial I am demonstrating a spiral straight pour on a 14 inch canvas. Going for the boulder cells and hoping for the glow of fire. The paints I used were Decoart Americana Metallics in Garnet, Copper and 24K Gold, Liquitex Basics Dioxazine Purple, and Mars Black. The DecoArt paints are great for creating cells without silicone.

Stunning!
The noise from the spinner makes me remember riding bikes as a child and putting cards in the spokes to make that noise on purpose. Lol❤

Trish (Ireland)
This one is so pretty!
Beautiful as usual❤
Gorgeous Gina!😊❤
Love your work but would like to see the finished pieces after they dry.
I LOVE this! I was wondering if you could get this result with a heat gun instead of a torch? Thanks for sharing!
The spinner sounds a lot like my back!!
I am repeatedly amazed that you have the patience to put up with a table which is not level. And the cat hair. "Cat hair. At least two free with every painting." (snorts with laughter) It's interesting that even though you were trying for negative space, you still didn't get very much negative space. I wonder what would happen if you used two matt paints and two glossy paints in the cup? (That is, have two background colours rather than one) I suppose it wouldn't make much difference, because the hydrophobic effect ensures that the matt paints will continue to push against the gloss paints until they can't any more, that is, until they bump into another matt paint.
I love this and have some new metallics to try. I am wondering if using the dark purple as the background helped avoid the greenish shade that comes from the gold mixing with back?
Oh that's a good point.
Beautiful. Is there a difference between the decoart Americana metallic copper and the texture metallics?
Gina, what will happen if you use a non metalic but add liquitex pouring medium to the paint, will it still have the hydrophobic effect?
By the way this painting is gorgeous ❤❤
My canvas will not stay put on my spinner, any thoughts or ideas how I can get the canvas to " stick" to the spinner?
Lovely, but video way longer than needed, just spin it already.
I show in real time so people can see just how long I let it sit to allow cells to develop. There is a fast forward feature that you can use to skip to the parts you find most interesting. Have a beautiful day!
I hate to be negative but it is really disgusting I’ve seen that in my doctors office
If you hate to be negative, then why be negative?
@@GinaDeLuca I’m sorry but I see what I see
I’m sorry but that looks like intestines. Awful
And this comment is crappy. Have a beautiful day!
