3 blackberries per cup, muddle and smash them
squeeze of a lemon wedge
ice
1 basil leaf, torn and smashed
fill the cup with 1/2 cup ginger beer
and 1/2 cup club soda
Classic Moscow Mule:
1 oz Vodka
1 1/2 oz Lime Juice
1 cup ice
Ginger Beer to the top

I totally agree with liking ginger beer more than ginger ale. It has a much bolder, spicer taste to it. A lot of my friends don't know about it, which is surprising.

I love dark and stormys (and I’ve been to the bar that invented the drink) and Moscow mules, but I’m very picky about the brand of ginger beer I buy. It’s not easy to find..it’s natural and has no high fructose corn syrup. And as you said, a dark and stormy must be made with Goslings.

Okay, so I finally got ginger beer. I drank a bottle on it's own first. Interesting. Very strong on the ginger, but I think I like it. I made the dark & stormy and it came out pretty good (keep in mind, I'm not much of a drinker and look like a deer in headlights at the liquor store). I didn't get the Gosling because I had spent 30 minutes at the liquor store last week loading up on all sorts of liquor and they were trying to kick me out the door because I was there too long and they were closed. LOL! I just dumped my whole bottle of ginger beer in and squeezed in half a lime along with golden color rum (I was like it's not white rum so it must be dark rum...? LOL). I think I should have muddled some mint in to give it a mojito bent. But for a non-drinker, it's a very drinkable thing. So thanks!

I love dark and stormies😁 but all of these look delicious! My favorite Moscow mule is one with rosemary infused vodka and then just the typical ginger beer and lime added. Hope you can try it some time!

But I was out to eat and my russian friend had a Moscow Mule and I asked what it was. So that's how I found out about the ginger beer truth.
