If I remember correctly from back when I was in middle school and obsessed with this song, it was about one of their friends (Maria) who told them that she was going to become a stripper. So it’s about them supporting her (Count me in). Like the lyrics stealing hearts calling your name from the crowd, means they’re making the other people at the strip club jealous because they actually know her. Also make it count when I’m the one that selling you out, it’s like telling her to make it count when they’re the ones there at her show tipping her

I've been a hardcore All time low fan since 2010. I love this content! The song is actually about a girl that Alex (leadsinger) knew from his hometown, that became a dancer (stripper) and he wanted to tell her story.
Here is a quote about the line “there’s a story at the bottom of this bottle and I’m the pen" from what Alex has said about it. 😊
"The line is literally about me wanting to tell her story. We would go to this club in downtown Baltimore and we were probably not of age and drinking. And Maria was little bit older than me and she was telling the story about how she became a dancer and that line popped into my head, was like ‘I’m going to finish this beer and write a story about this’ kind of thing.”

I'm so totally on board with more emo/pop punk reactions. I grew up in this genre (before One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer took over my life); I have lyrics to Lost In Stereo tattooed on my arm!
Fun Fact: Dear Maria is the highest selling song in Hopeless Records' history. And Hopeless was home for artists like New Found Glory, Yellowcard, The Used and Avenged Sevenfold.
oh! i love all time low!! this was off their second album. i’m so glad you reacted to them! their songs are really great and their older ones like this one make me feel so nostalgic
I always interpreted the lyrics as this guy was in love with a stripper and he was telling her he'd make her a star (maybe be her manager or something) but he hopes she loves him in return. A very standard pop-punk style song wherein the boy puts the girl on a pedestal. But super catchy none the less!
Oh, and I added Ludo's Broken Bride to your list. You really should hear the whole album (it's a rock opera that tells a story) but the first song is killer regardless!

Dear Maria was their 1st big hit, but you should definetely listen to their more recent stuff (Monsters maybe?)
You react to so many artist I listen to. Twentyonepilots are my favourite Band, All Time Low used to be my fav Band but I don't listen to their music a lot right now, and since this year I also listen to Harry/Louis/Niall and little bit 1D

Would you react to more All Time Low? idk where to ask this but they have a lot of amazing song but people only seem to react to there old songs from the first album it's weird.
