Muchas gracias doc!!

    Programming seems simple enough. Learning the user interface probably the most difficult thing for someone experienced with other lathe controls. Why Fanuc doesn't have a canned cycle to do this very thing is beyond me. Good job on the video. Brent

      Hi Brent! Thanks for watching. Learning Mazatrol is easy. One thing that really blows me away is this machine is 34 YEARS OLD! In my opinion, Mazak was way ahead of it's time when they developed Mazatrol. Check out my other video on OD Grooving. In that video I show you how to machine 3 tapered pulley grooves using the same 2 lines of code.

      I started using the mazak is definitely a little different then Fanuc. The Okumas now have canned cycle, and I find it easy to program as well.

    how do you face groove on mazak the part is 7.875 diameter has a boss diameter of 3.188 it's to go down to .844 deep with a half inch radius blending into a 5.125 diameter face groove 1.0 inch deep so I'm having problems with the simulation the groove tool is wiping out where my radius is suppose to go anyway to send u the print ?

    I want to see some uses of the highlighted options

      I'll get there. Most of the time, the highlighted options are not needed. Thanks for the comment.

      I run a 2005 250msy all 100% mazatrol and no help but a book. So so many options I haven’t used yet. Thanks for the videos

    i have a problem i can't get mazatrol to groove .14" deep WIDTH is .125"!
    the insert is .125" wide too. i need to leave 30 degree edges not 45 degrees can you help ?
    do you have a CAT 40 or 50 holder if you look at the shoulder of the holder ? that's what i am trying to do basically

    • @mazatroltipsandtricks6816
      @mazatroltipsandtricks6816  2 года назад

      That can be done using 3 grooving processes. Use groove 0. First groove straight in, second groove left 30 degree angle, third groove 30 degree right side.

      @@mazatroltipsandtricks6816 ok so do i give it a negative angle ?

      @@christophercolumbus8944 I believe so. The graphics will show groove 0 cutting an angle if the Z end point is different from Z start point.
