Another option is to use a second program. You can, from the "End" line, jump to another program and run it without operator intervention. Then at the end of the 2nd program, jump back to the first, but not "Continue". There can be a problem with this method. If you interrupt the 2nd program before it reaches the end then the control will not be reset to the first program. If you then load another part without changing programs, it will crash. For this reason your method of using MNP is a lot safer. Thank you. I learned something today.
Thanks very much for your videos, its greatly helpful. I am working currently on a Mazak Quick turn Nexus 250-II MY, I watch your videos regularly to get my basics right. Thanks once again

again very very helpfull . thank you. i see your videos every day over and over again. i learned mazatrol programming with your videos. i work with mazatrol t plus on mazak QT30 1997. i made a program today include 11 process for a forging piece but i have a problem with finish process that is the tool going to OD on x and then come to next process finish. i want to finish process with continuous movement for all of my processes. are that possible with parameters or not?
Thank you. I'm not sure what you are saying in regards to the tool path. You can separate the processes to roughing only and have a second process that is finish only and change the finish process to do what you want and it will not affect the roughing process because it is on a separate process number.
@@mazatroltipsandtricks6816 yes i understand so i should make a separate process with many LIN and TPR paths as a finish process this will be a long process so I thought may by there is way to short my work and all finish steps connect . as I see it there is no way. thank you for answer
Hi Phil, you have helped me before and I’m hoping you can help me once again. I’m looking to broach a small key way in an aluminum part. Do you know if it is possible to program a macro in my t32-3 control in the manual process to broach my key way so I don’t have to write 100 lines of code?
Drill in is to drill a hole,,, MNP its a pauze in the machine,,,, from my experience. I was wondering how to do compensations on the Tool Data, when I have a piece work on very tight quote?
Hi Phil. Ok. You defined as a boring bar and you drill with it. But can we use it as a boring bar? Is ok to use BAR IN Process if insert allow us to get what we want?
That’s how I usually bore holes. If I have to cut a 6” hole I’ll use a 2.75 insert or U drill and drill the hole then I’ll bore the hole with that same drill until there .035-.050 left to bore then I’ll switch over and use a boring bar for finishing. This really helps with consistency on holes and it allows you to not have to babysit the machine. Since I program and setup I have 9-11 different lathes going at one time. And can’t sit at the machine the whole time.
Hi all, I have a Mazak SQT 10MS with sub spindle, using mazatrol. The Swiss turning and job chuck transfer seems a bit confusing in the programming manual, could this be a subject for a future video?

Hi Brian, I have never played with the T32 control so I am unsure if it can do macros or a sub program. Sorry man.
Ok, thanks. Are you able to do them on your machine at home with the older control?
@@giddyupbo No. It doesn't have that capability to use sub programs.
Gotcha. Thanks.

Yes, absolutely it can be used as a boring bar. I just didn't show that in the video.

Sorry, I do not have a machine with a sub spindle.
pick TRANSFER CHECK then follow the commands "HEAD 1>2 "
etc etc let me know if you're still stuck
when do you have to use min .005, and what happen if you use drill and but min .005 by accident ,thank you Phil for all of your video.
The machine will take .005"/min but it will cut the hole extremely slow advancing only .005" per minute vs .005" per revolution.

If you are curious how this works ?
Look at G Codes G94 & G95.
