Honestly, this was an amazing character analysis on Scott and why he failed as a villain. However, one thing you missed was in episode 11, Scott's downfall wasn't even targeted towards him. CHEF threw Zoey off the cliff and Zoey made the trap SPECIFICALLY FOR CHEF, and Scott just, happened to get caught in it? Say what you will about Mal, but at least with Mal, his downfall was INTENTIONALLY caused by Mike, the person he bullied the most. Scott's downfall was pure chance, which actually makes his downfall so much worse.
Absolutely ridiculous that I not only missed this but also that it even happens in the first place. Seriously, what on earth did the writers have against Scott?
There’s something really funny about the fact that Sugar and Scarlett have better villain defeats. It makes me really sad, since I really enjoyed Scott and wish he had a better villain defeat.
Fun Fact Scott was teammates with all members of the gen2 cast at least once , In Toxic Rats he was teammates with Staci , Dakota, Dawn , B , Lighting and Sam , then with Brick when he switched over then later when Jo and Scott switch teams ,he becomes teammates with the Maggonts , Zoey, Cameron , Mike , and Anne Maria and lastly with Jo when there on the Villainous Vultures on All Stars .

I really like Scott because while at first he just seems like a country bumpkin (and kinda is), he’s one of the smartest players in the entire series. I do think it requires a bit of suspension of disbelief since even without the confessionals, Scott is still comes off as sleezy and underhanded, but that’s the case with pretty much all TDI villains. But one thing I will say is that I think people say the trauma chair is cruel is because of a misinterpretation that some people, including myself, had about it. When I first saw it as a kid, I thought that his head was all that was left after Fang attacked him, and then they hooked him up to a machine that kept him barely alive and restricted his abilities to only showing approval or disapproval. I’m sure the actual intention was that his body is inside the machine kinda like Alejandro, but having such a limited way to communicate and zero mobility is still pretty cruel imo.
It’s cruel, but it’s still not too cruel for an attempted murderer like Scott. A guy who was willing to leave Zoey for dead, smash Mike’s skull in, etc. I just think it’s a little lazy compared to Heather’s creative comeuppance, but then again, has ANY comeuppance been as good as Heather’s?

scotts resolution is more than fine to me scotts been setting up traps all season so its only fitting he loses because of one and its by someone he thought would be so easy to beat and manipulate, in typical scott fashion he's not even upset zoey eliminated him, game recognizes game, but because of this we gotta throw fang on him at the end remember chris only did this because he was caught in one of scotts traps, everything that happens to him is karma

Regarding All Stars do you think it was wasted interaction between Duncan and Scott as the 2 are the respective troublemakers as one can see the 2 having a friendship or rivalry in whose better at being bad but they never do it. The 2 only interacted a handful of times such as them clinking glasses in ep 2 and Duncan helping Scot up in ep 6. In fact the TD wiki doesnt have a Duncan and Scott page.

I think if Scott would have had an opportunity in a 3rd Season, he could / would have been written as a finalist. Given how cunning, smart, and generally unpredictable he was in Revenge, and how he was pretty seen as a puppy in Allstars, I would write it as. Scott revealed to much of himself in his first season and after his initial embarrassment wanted to use his second season as a way to depict a false characterization of himself showing how when put next to others that are very similar to him he appears to be a lucky and unintelligent person in comparison. So he uses that and once he gets to his season after Allstars then he uses that new way he showed himself to lure more people to his dark ways. But that would have to written very specifically

during the final four challenge and after that, Scott did kinda got what he deserves, I mean... he kicked off so many people, then framed Dawn, then used Mike and blackmailed him, then by the final four challenge this is where he did the dirtiest trick, flinging Chris McLean into a pit of feces in the outhouse, just as McLean was announcing a safe challenge just before Scott screwed it up.
Scott is literally my favourite character and I can agree that they completely ruined him in all stars he shouldn't have changed he should have just been well what he was in revenge of the island mean manipulative and just someone you wouldn't want to mess with at all.

Okay, good video, but I have to respond to 21:00 with my copypasta about Bowie being the main villain of reboot S1. 😤 While Bowie is more affable than previous villains, he still displays the same underhanded ruthlessness that all TD villains have--especially evident in the notebook debacle. In comparison to Julia, he's also much more effective at causing eliminations, a staple of previous villains in the show, as he causes 3 (debatably 4) eliminations compared to Julia's 1. Looking back at Julia's attempts at villainy during the season, her most villainous actions in the game were either self-defense to save herself from elimination (MK/her attempt to get rid of Chase in episode 7) or were simply her trying to eliminate members of the opposing alliance. She didn't even want to turn on Millie and Priya initially (despite Priya being the clear biggest threat) until they stonewalled her and wouldn't agree to take her to the finale with them. Her biggest crime this season is unironically just being horribly mean. Bowie on the other hand got rid of Caleb immediately, flipped on one of his alliance members in what would have been a tie otherwise (Chase), formed a fake alliance with Julia for the sole purpose of getting her eliminated, and managed to pull off the notebook fiasco--breaking up the strongest alliance in the game and getting rid of Millie in the process. Also, his treatment from the others in season 2 sort of makes me believe that the writers intended for him to be the main villain as well as he seems to be the least liked contestant coming into the game with only the hockey bros not being actively against him.

As someone who hates Scott (not because he eliminated any character i cared about cuz A, I rlly don’t care that much about any of the characters he eliminated anyways, and B, I think that’s a dumb reason to hate any character), I’m glad to see a Scott fan A) acknowledging him as the completely unsympathetic menace he is, instead of propping him up as the silly goofy wholesome comic relief king he (allegedly) is in All Stars, and B) disliking his downfall bcuz of how narratively unsatisfying it is, instead of it being “too cruel.”
Had she fallen, she probably would have been pretty badly hurt realistically. In the most extreme of circumstances, had she died, Scott wouldn’t have cared. He’d probably blame her for being a klutz.

Also I dont think Scott wouldn't Care that little , as Mal the next villain was the one to 100% lack empathy giving how he clearly tries to kill the other contestants only stopping when he might get caught

i mean, it's one of the alt endings, but it got published in like 2 countries and because of that this ending is quite forgotten nowadays and the fact that only available version of this ending is a low quality recording from the original US finale makes it even less known
