@patrickm6012 why? Think about it. Credit card interest rates needs to cover short term losses on treasury bonds due to the rate of change in the federal funds rate. Seriously? There are a lot of banks out there.
I left Bank of America after 15 years to bank with Discover. Best decision I ever made. I hope they don’t merge.
I 😍 my Discover credit 💳 for the rewards and hope Capital One doesn't botch this
that is the longest way I've ever heard someone say "no"
I hope it doesn't go through, capital one is no good
Only if you don’t pay your debt to them.
And if you’re not good at using credit cards.
My curious question is if a consumer has an account with both Capital One and Discover, how does this potential merger affect them?
Discover is getting absorbed by capital one so there you go. Lol
You'll probably keep both cards for a while and they'll slowly convert your discover cards into Capital One cards.
@@nova8585Yup. I only have Cap1 because they acquired ING Direct. I use to really like there service
I hope the credit line remains the same after the merge in that situation.

Because consolidation is always such a benefit for consumers. What a farce.

My concern as well
Yes it is my longest card as well. I had it since 1998. I used to bank with Capital One and it was horrible so not happy about this development.
My discover card is my only 0% APR card in my wallet. Also the only one I really use. I'm sure my rate quickly changes after merge.
