I just had my prostate removed this past July. PSA was 24, they got all the cancer before it entered my body. Very stressful and thankful for my surgeon.

I got diagnosed with prostate cancer. I’m 54. I don’t like the thought.......of them just documenting my death. 3 out 12 cancer. I know I can live up to 10. Years or so. I don’t like the VA. There all talk. When it comes to my mental health. I’m ex- SERE instructor for the Airforce. I’m very tough. Any advice from a REAL veteran would be appreciated. I put off my following appointments off ........for a month or so. I just HATE going there. 20minutes of advice. I told them,...before the biopsies that cutting into cancer makes it spread......she said...there no documentation on that! (Stupid little 25 year old girl,...who’s a urineologist! I watched my own father....go that way...and others. I HATE going to see them temporary doctors. Dentist...Fella who gives me a pill to sleep....are the two who are fine. Doctors at the VA. Terrible....false sympathy......completely uninvolved in your misery. Right.....now come back next month.....so we can make you......more depressed.

I hope that you are doing better since you posted your comment. I'm 58 with advanced aggressive Prostate Cancer. I've been on Hormone Therapy, which wreaked havoc with my emotions. So I saw a psychiatrist, who gave me good advice and decided with me that Celexa could help my emotions. It has greatly helped. I've had surgery, and am about to start radiation. Having the right doctors and support from others has made a huge difference. Now is the time to pull any strings you can and accept help. How you feel is not you - it's the disease. Don't get down on yourself.

......simple and short message but i sure can understand the emotions and feelings in these guys, more so the guy in the purple shirt as that is how P.C. can make you feel because your emotions are all over the place....from feeling numb to anger but one thing i would say to all you guys out there who are receiving treatment ,think positive and keep focused on the treatment, never let it fade from the horizon and hope like me that you have brilliant medical staff and support all the way through, even prayer can be answered , i cannot thank my Doctors enough for what they have done for me here in Birmingham UK , we have two fantastic hospitals who have pulled out all the stops to get me diagnosed and treated....and with the comments i am looking well it;s been worth going through the treatment / side effects for stage three P.C.....Best wishes to you all......!.

I have early stage prostate cancer. I accept that. What i don't accept is that nobody cares about prostate cancer. They care about breast cancer though. I can't wait to see athletes wearing blue instead of pink, to support men with prostate cancer.

The problem is that men are not good at talking about health issues and are afraid that asking for help is seen by some as a weakness. There is a British group that was formed recently called 'true Cancer Bodies' which aims to show the truth about living with cancer as opposed to the misleadingly upbeat adverts put out by the major cancer charities. The group is also a way of connecting with others who have cancer and who know how you are feeling and can advise you.
Unfortunately, so far, the members are nearly all women - my son is one of two men who have joined! Have a look at Facebook and Twitter. You will be welcomed with open arms. ( my son is Andrew Coe, on Instagram _the_hOneybadger_ He has had cancer (lymphoma) 4 times, over 7 years, has had very type of chemo plus radiotherapy and 2 stem cell transplants, although he is currently in hospital, he continues to advise others and to blog.

Herbal treatment is 98% guarantee for disease/ viruses & cancer cure, the reason why most people are finding it difficult to cure these disease/infection is because they believe on medical report, drugs and medical treatment which is not helpful to cure it. Natural roots/herbs are the best remedy which can easily eradicate health related issue totally. that am very sure off, because I was cure from 6years prostate cancer, via herbal medication from Dr.hopkins.. for more information about virus ilness or any other incurable illness write Dr. Hopkins for any health challenge

    I want to know!!!
If you have an inlarged prostate glan???
If so, did you do heavy work outs at a gym OR ANY KIND OF LIFTING that put heavy and repeated strains on your KEGEL MUSCLE AND PROSTATE??? Before your prostate got inlarged!!!
Also do you have Gum Disease Bacteria INFECTION??? (Are your gums RED, BLEEDING, SWOLLEN???!!! DO YOU HAVE MISSING TEETH??? DO YOU HAVE CAVITYS??? If so the above is PROOF POSITIVE THAT YOU HAVE THE GUM DISEASE BACTERIAL INFECTION!!!
I am thinking that the GUM DISEASE INFECTION AND lifting heavy things that makes you strain your keegle mucle and also your prostate causes your prostate to inlarged!!!
    Larry
PLEASE REPLY IN THIS VIDEO DISCRIPTION AND WHEN YOU DO I WILL BE NOTIFYED.

Suppose it also helps if you have a nice bank account aswell.. how much is your life worth? A normal everyday family man cant afford top surgeon.. just like the movie john Q with the heart transplant.. surgeons dont work for free.

I'll never understand a doctor telling you you need to get your life in order, that's the stupidest thing that they could ever say to someone with a terminal disease,if that happened to me I would say now I don't need to get my life in order anymore because I'm going to die soon so I don't care.

I had no symptoms either.............one number on a urine test. Let’s cut chunks out of your prostate.......so we know for sure. Now I’m thinking......5-10 years if I’m lucky.
