I had a local motorcycle shop install it. It wasn't hard to get running because included in the kit was the tuned ECU so the bike ran perfectly. I have heard of some horror stories, though.
300 miles per 1 gallon tank = 300mpg. They get around 130mpg so that's 130 miles per tank. Sometimes you just have to question what people say and think for yourself. I'm in Canada and I get between 160 and 170kms until it's at the last flashing fuel bar. Mind you I'm on it the entire time, but I very much doubt I'd get another 310kms out of the reserve tank. I watched your group ride to the beach. How come your top speed is so low? If you're on stock gearing you should easily be cruising at 70+mph, no?
On stock gearing and stock bore my bike did 55 max. On the beach ride video, you could see I easily passed a stock grom with no effort. I was also fighting against the wind the whole entire ride. DHM says the maximum mph should be about 70. That's in perfect condition though. And about the gas tank. I did a 300-mile trip on one tank, but I was purposely staying low rpm only doing about 45. If you really try these bikes, they will do 300 miles on one tank. Obviously, that's not what is intended out the factory. It also helps that I'm 125 lbs.
Nice bike..i have a green 2019 grom..dhm tune..top speed around 70 mph on flat roads...
Fun motorcycles...agree that neutrals tough to find..
Thanks for the comment! As you can see, my channel is pretty new, so I appreciate it!
did you install the big bore kit yourself?? Is it difficult to get in running smooth after the swap?
