Partner dancing has progressed past them because they have not continued to reinvent themselves. It's actually a bit sad because they are more than enough talent to have grown with dance, but instead they have remained in place. Now what they do seems staid and stodgy compared to everyone from the Baricchis and after. Even their choice of music sounds old-fashioned now.
I remember them doing exactly this show about 15 years ago. Back then it seemed a bit more brilliant.
