i was excited for the movie so when i saw images of this figure i was also excited, despite the fact that it is comic based. i still have not seen any figure from this wave in stores,i resorted to buying him from amazon for retail price so that is cheap enough for me. it is maybe fate or a coincidence that mine arrived just a little while before watching this review.
I had no problem, paying full price for this figure, no accessories didn't bother me. That being said this and the juggernaut wave wolverine are the only two version I own. Also I love your hoodie and want to buy one for myself.
makes sense I have a tony hawk hoodie I love I got from Kohls on sale. Kohl's: When you are young enough to still want a Tony Hawk Hoodie, but old enough to be OK buying Last year's version while kids poop their diapers next to you.
The wolverine itself may not seem worth it, but customizers are turning it into a civilian wolverine and godamn have they done an amazing job. I honestly do love the figure though. It probably is bias due to my love for the comic it was based on, but i do really appreciate it. I do, however, agree on it's lack of accessories. It should have came with more hands, or at least a cigar and cowboy hat.
I've long wanted a decent street clothes Wolverine with a sculpted jacket, so I like this figure. I would have liked it more if came with additional no-claw hands and a swappable young man Logan head option. But I sculpted some pointy hair on mine and painted it black and it looks pretty good.
there! at last someone said it! these figures are better than ever but they are PRICEY! when you can find them for $12 after a month that tells you something about the profit margin. I passed on this one twice already. Great review. thanks.
At first I was so excited for this figure since I LOVED the old man logan story but then Mezco showed off their Old Man Logan and now this figure is at the bottom of my box ML.
For a small figure too! Actually, at least it will be only 20 bucks I feel I need to spend and not $100, $120, or $140 to complete a wave for a build a figure that I will probably sell. Of course, with the recent Groot and Ares, I can now afford to just be patient and hope that Hasbro releases a BAF for $20 later.
Dan reminds me of John Henson from Talk Soup, only with slightly less snarky comments and No weird grey hair spot standing out like that red storm area on Jupiter.
Toy Galaxy Oh no sir I couldn't be more serious about such a ludicrous idea. Sing-a-long: They're the world's most senile fighting team (I just broke my hip!) They're primates who learned Kung Fu from TV (Hey - don't give me any lip!) When the roided out Crusher attacks, These Senior Citizens might break their backs! Senior Citizen Shaolin Simians Senior Citizen Shaolin Simians Blister taught them how to re-tweet their favorite memes (She's our adopted cat!) Mozart leads, Beethoven fixes old automobiles (That's a classic!) Bach likes to throw his digested food (Eat shit!) Chopin is an old hippy dude (The 60'ssssss!)
Ya know......I might've passed on this one if I wasn't such a big fan of the OML run. Not so much with what they've done with him lately. Mine came in a small lot from a friend who was getting out of the Legends game. Colossus/Cyclops/Logan/Sunfire for all under cost. Couldn't really say no....
Toy Galaxy the movie is excellent! Easily the best X-Film and probably one of the best Marvel movies overall IMO. I really wish Marvel would've kept OML out of the current rebranding of comics. Sometimes a one off story needs to stay just that. But I guess they had a void after killing off 616 Wolvie and didn't have enough faith in X-23 to sell books? Who knows. ANYWAY this is a decent figure.
So...Dan, kinda confused on your position on the figure from this review, on a 1 - 10 scale, how would you rate it? 1 being the worst, 10 being the best. [Yes, I watched the end bit where you said it's not bad, but still.]
For ME... this is a 3-ish. Not enough for me to buy it when I saw it 4 times on the shelf. But I can't say that it's the WORST ML figure that's been released recently. From the neck down it's fine, that head just doesn't work for me and the fact that you don't even get a BAF piece or ANY accessories for $20? Hard to justify dropping $20.
I keep going back and forth on this one. At times I think he looks like a cool senior Logan/Wolverine. At others he looks like an old trucker who's peed-off the Flying J is out of Camel no-filters.
Never was a fan of Old Man Logan. I would've ordered it if it came with an alternate 616 Logan Head, or heck even a Days of Future Past Logan, but unfortunately we didn't get anything. To me it's just not a Wolverine figure and Wolverine's always been my favourite character when I was a kid and even now, and don't get me started on X-23 as "Wolverine". Ugh. Good review though.
I have not one (1) but TWO (2!) of this figure. It's the "two of" in this wave's case, and-since Hasbro seemingly doesn't distribute to one of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S.-preordering online is the only way to get Marvel Legends these days. Oy.
Yeah, there are only so many derpy eyes a collector can take. I'm hoping Hasbro either starts employing the face-printing tech they used on the Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 figures on the comic characters, too, or expands their distribution. Not holding my breath on the latter.

I'm such a sucker for the movie that I just had to buy It once I laid my eyes on it at my local Target.
I liked when you put on the Jackman head from Instagram... that's what I was gonna do!
It's better than the head it came with for sure.
i love old man logan. mezco version is amazing but way too expensive so ill stick with this one. i enjoy the figure
That works.
I had no problem, paying full price for this figure, no accessories didn't bother me. That being said this and the juggernaut wave wolverine are the only two version I own. Also I love your hoodie and want to buy one for myself.
Just picked that up recently. I think it's a Tony Hawk.
makes sense I have a tony hawk hoodie I love I got from Kohls on sale. Kohl's: When you are young enough to still want a Tony Hawk Hoodie, but old enough to be OK buying Last year's version while kids poop their diapers next to you.

Oh sure, I've seen some of those customs and they look great. But really, could they not have included a DoFP head? Or yeah... a HAT?
Toy Galaxy I completely agree. It was quite lazy on Hasbro's part but by this point it's to be expected sadly
I've long wanted a decent street clothes Wolverine with a sculpted jacket, so I like this figure. I would have liked it more if came with additional no-claw hands and a swappable young man Logan head option. But I sculpted some pointy hair on mine and painted it black and it looks pretty good.
It's really just that head. And on mine in particular, there's no positioning the claws so that they actually look good.
there! at last someone said it! these figures are better than ever but they are PRICEY! when you can find them for $12 after a month that tells you something about the profit margin.
I passed on this one twice already.
Great review. thanks.

Yeah it's not even close. It's the one time where I think the Mezco price is worth it if this is what $20 gets you.
this is actually my favorite wolverine in my collection
Fair enough.
Sometimes not having a build a figure makes it an easy buy because I don't want a piece of something I don't want.
Yeah but... still $20?
For a small figure too! Actually, at least it will be only 20 bucks I feel I need to spend and not $100, $120, or $140 to complete a wave for a build a figure that I will probably sell. I got mix feelings for that figure, would get it just to finish a set but I wouldn't give it priority. Great review doe 👍🏼
Target had these figures in March.
+NightWinggl I wish I was Target.
Hehe. I know what you mean. Love your videos!
haha
Got to love walking into your local Target and having to ask the dude in Electronics to search the back for X-Men toys.
I can't be that guy. I'll just wait.
Dan what's with the juggs wave wolvey's claws in the triple fog shot? They look different and better.
I only bought shatterstar from this wave and only plan on getting Cyclops and Polaris along with him
I've got everyone but Polaris and Sunfire. Don't really WANT either... but if I'm that close to a complete BAF I'm kind of forced to complete it.
Toy Galaxy I'm a fan of classic x-men and those are pretty spot on to me. I do dig Warlock a lot too, I really wanna build him.
I caught one on clearance.
Its pretty decent but im my MIB collection.
Ive seen it since but just dont wanna pay the full price.
Dan reminds me of John Henson from Talk Soup, only with slightly less snarky comments and No weird grey hair spot standing out like that red storm area on Jupiter.
I'll take all of that as a complement.
You just made me realize I need him desperately for my Senior Citizen Shaolin Simians idea...
[Can't tell if joking]

Which claws did you put on your Juggernaut wave Wolverine? Those aren't standard.
needs a regular non old head sculpt so we can have casual friday wolverine.
I liked the comic. Haven't seen the movie yet. It's not the worst figure ever.
Toy Galaxy the movie is excellent! Easily the best X-Film and probably one of the best Marvel movies overall IMO. I really wish Marvel would've kept OML out of the current rebranding of comics. wait did u switch the claws and not showcase them
Which claws? I didn't switch them on Old Man Logan.
Toy Galaxy the juggernaut wave wolvey claws, they are different.

Ok, cool. I agree, there were plenty of opportunities for accessories to include with this figure.
I'm waiting for somebody to trow me the figure. waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting waiting cmon its been a week
Worth it for the Cyclops jacket swap alone, or I guess I should say, the only reason for it.
For $20 though? Tough call.
That's fair. But loose online for the frugal customizer it's a bit cheaper typically.
I keep going back and forth on this one. At times I think he looks like a cool senior Logan/Wolverine. At others he looks like an old trucker who's peed-off the Flying J is out of Camel no-filters.

That's pretty much how I felt about it. Should have been DoFP Wolverine, didn't look enough like OML Wolverine... what IS it?
I have not one (1) but TWO (2!) of this figure. It's the "two of" in this wave's case, and-since Hasbro seemingly doesn't distribute to one of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S.-preordering online is the only way to get Marvel Legends these days. Oy.
so true :(
And if pre-ordering is the only way to get something... it will absolutely push me away as a collector especially if they can't guarantee quality.
Yeah, there are only so many derpy eyes a collector can take. I'm hoping Hasbro either starts employing the face-printing tech they used on the Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 figures on the comic characters, too, or expands their distribution. Not holding my breath on the latter.
Wow, under three minutes...
The Mezco Logan makes this look like a dollar store toy
He looks like he doesn't eat enough fiber.
I don't dig the removable claws. They look like shit. Hasbro should have gave us to sets of hands. claws and no claws.
If the claws are straight they're fine. It's just rare that they are straight.
