What a fun with MS-DOS installation :) Nice to see 486 working. As far as I remember there was always fiddling with the components until you found the combination that worked :) Great video, Cheers!
Jesus chap that's not right, the music on wolf sounded really off and the framerate on doom was bollocks...... a dx2-66 can run doom full speed, think it is likely your cache, or perhaps your vid card is lame...... well done for persevering with it though
The sound issue could because it was recorded through the microphone from the speakers 🔊. Sounded ok to me lol. But it’s been ages since I’ve heard it lol 😂. Yeah frame rate was bad I’m using the vlb video card the cirrus logic one

Yeah it had no cache lol 😂 it has the plastic chips lol 😂 it still needs work I have it running at 66 now put a cooler on it and it now runs

@Retro4u the vlb card should be able to handle doom, have you still got the trident ? Try powering up with that in and running doom
