OK so I watched the rest of the case for the The Murders at White House Farm, the thing that they found in the stairs was a gun silencer, it was hidden, and it had blood stains on it, the investigators determined that it would have been impossible for the sister to shoot herself with the silencer on because it was too long, and she couldn't reach the trigger. On top of this, Jeremy and his gf's relationship was on the rocks after the murders, and Jeremy would say things that were very susicous, he would say things like, im fed up with my family, its tonight or never, and had been talking about murdering his family before and how he would blame the sister. He would put on a very dramatic act, screaming and crying, throwing up, not being able to stand, and when he thought no one was looking, he had an ear to ear grin, it was eventually found out that Jeremy had killed his family
What's odd is that some reports say that the silencer was actually found in a first floor office in a gun closet...maybe the stairs went over that room.

I’m from Amityville and you did a great job covering the story! I wasn’t even born when the murders happened, but I grew up listening to stories about it. Ronald DeFeo actually went to work like nothing ever happened, came home and “discovered” his family dead, and then ran to the bar. The house is still there, but it looks a lot different now. When I was in Girl Scouts, I used to go trick or treating and sing Christmas carols at that house. No one ever answered the door, but it was still an experience to be on the front porch like that. Was a little creepy. Good job again!

Navy Seals have a range of skills that are overlooked by normal teachings. Many meta-actions that make for a very disarming demeanor. It’s trained into them so they may fit in and go about their business unnoticed or very quickly and quietly as well as making the adversary calm if necessary. They are trained to not only be ghosts but they are also trained to be your best friend if they are found out while being said ghost until they can disable you and whatever threats you may present that fall in line with their objectives.

That second story was scary as hell. Can’t believe people actually moved into the house after the massacre.
I would take a house probably at an highly discount price because murders happened there. Once they clean the mess, these houses are probably very good deals. And like any other houses, they're made of wood, brick, cement. The house I live in happens to be a murder-suicide house and I got it for a discount price and saved alot. If they wouldn't have told me, I wouldn't never knew about it. It happened in the 70's.
I don't really get why people would avoid a house like that, I would think most houses had someone died in it and it's not like there'd be huge blood stains on the walls.

That show had me in tears. That police chief or whatever he was called PISSED ME OFF. As the great-granddaughter of a woman who's murder has never been officially solved, trust me when I say the family would rather have a long drawn out case than it going cold/the conclusion not making sense

@@samhaokip9126 it’s not slanted for no reason, usually small optics are mounted off center like a red dot etc as it’s faster to rotate the weapon while keeping eyes and barrel down range instead of a hight adjustment of rifle trying to get Red dot on top magnifying optics. It’s not done cause it looks cool, it’s just faster as you transition from for example a street or field into a house to clear rooms and exit back to a street or field where your magnifying optics lets you see more.

I laughed when you said you intended on watching only 10 mins of the first episode but ended up binge watching all 6 episodes - that is exactly what happened to me.
I enjoy listening to these stories.
My brother was murdered in 2016, his body was thrown in the Colorado river. Nobody was charged. There’s a very long story that will explain how we got there and the happenings while there. I’d like to share my story with u one day. Even after all these years it’s still very traumatic for me. I felt like I was living a nightmare. It is only by the grace of God I am still alive.

Not to mention, if the crime is brutal or even worse than brutal, it’s always personal. Few times it would be a serial killer. Whenever there’s multiple stab wounds, the body shown to be “honored”, or even have the person tormented in the worst way possible. It’s always personal
It’s said that it was the preacher or a traveling teacher I can’t remember which. The cops interviewed him and noted the blood splatter on his shirt collar and sleeve but they said he looked like he’d just shaved so that’s where it was from🤦🏼♀️ the guy also left town live two seconds after the cops talked to him but he’d supposedly had signed on for several more months of his job and one girl said she’d had supposed to go in a date with him that evening but when she went to meet him he was packing super fast and said something had happened and he needed to leave.

I looked it up, and it's said a silencer was found by some cousins much later in the "gun cabinet" under the stairs, which had Jeremy's blood and a gray hair on it. The police didn't process it as evidence correctly, but was still used to convict Jeremy, and he remains in prison till this day, all appeals being denied.
Not Jeremy's blood, Sheila's blood was in it.

At the time the murders took place it was the same here in the states. It still is in some rural areas. They do it so the house doesn't get haunted.
What about taken pictures? My culture we don’t take videos or pictures of our deceased, so our relatives can make their journey. As to their soul not trapped. 🙁🥲

The Villisca story has got to be one of the most horrifying and terrifying true stories in American history.
(This is for the ax story) he may have covered the mirror so the spirits of the people who were killed would not be able to pass through. It is said that mirrors are a portal for spirits so that may have something to do with it.

Defoe originally said that it was the oldest sister that committed the murders and he killed her in self defense. He's changed his story so many times.
One of the sons came out after he was grown and admitted that the book was fake. Even Jay Anson, the author, admitted the he and George made it all up.
Since the murders the house has had 4 other owners none of them have reported any hauntings. Although one owner had the address changed because of all the people that would go and gawk at their house.
My dad has a friend who lived Long Island for a long time and he once talked about how a majority of the time the cops were called during the summer was because of paranormal enthusiasts and tourists loitering around and/or stopping by to take pictures of the infamous "Amityville Horror House" and refused to leave when the home owners and neighbors requested they do so. It got even worse after the movie was remade in 2005. The reason the house keeps changing hands so much is because the owners get tired of having to call the cops because people want to trespass onto their property for photos and they just want some peace and quiet.
I had family live in that house. What happened to them was horrible

The Moore family murders are so incredibly horrific and jaw dropping! Just imagine that if this was done today they would most likely have found the murderer as he actually, and these are a couple of details Ballen left out, had been waiting in the attic for the family members to return to the house at around 10pm and then waited until they all fell asleep as 2 smoked cigarettes were found there, and those could've definitely given DNA had it been around back then, also one of the Stillinger sisters seemed to be the only one who was awake when the murders were taking place as she had defensive wounds on her arm suggesting she woke up and tried to defend herself which is why she was also awkwardly placed on the bed, not like a normal sleeping position. She also had her gown up to her waist and no underwear on suggesting a sexual assault of some kind. So a pretty fucking horrifying and disturbing event that makes it even more awful by the fact that that psychotic killer was never found! Of course he's long dead by now but it still stings so much knowing he got away with this!
I don't know why but when I hear stories about children being hurt and mistreated, I get very angry. I want to stop and go help and make whoever has caused this pain, to pay. I am too old and crippled now to do anything about it and that hurts my heart. I know I can't be the only person like this.

I was listening on my headphones and had fallen asleep and that voice woke me up from my sleep and scared the hell out of me
My roommate in 1987 used to go over the history of the Amityville house. One of his details was that along with being found face down, the victims had their arms crossed at the wrist, with their foreheads resting on their hands. His story of the facts included a nunnery, and a Native American burial ground. He was a good story teller also, I learned to ask him to tell me stories during the day, and never before bedtime!
White house farm is a tragedy and Netflix also have a series about it too the item the officer found under the stairs was a silencer with blood on it Sheila definitely didn't commit the crime it was her brother Jeremy he was greedy and wanted everything that would have been split between him and his sister and his nephews both he and Sheila were adopted by the bambers

I’ve been to the Villisca Axe Murder House in Iowa, they do tours. The house is super tiny and you can hear movement from almost anywhere in the home. One of the big mysteries is how nobody in the house was awoken while the other murders were taking place, especially with how many people were there and how violent the murders were. There were like 4-5 kids in total plus the parents, and the two upstairs bedrooms are connected. Also apparently after it happened the axe was allowed to be used as a tourist attraction and they let people come and handle it, which messed with the evidence and any possible DNA on it that could have helped further the investigation. A truly tragic case and a pretty eerie home…
I grew up a few towns over from Amityville…. That house was definitely super creepy. The iconic windows in the top floor were eventually replaced.

It was odd that the cops got to that house before Jeremy did. He lives right down road, you'd think that he would instinctualy go straight there if he thought something was wrong.

Love this!!! Been to the vallisca house many times… when you walk out of the attic you are automatically into the parents room… and off to the right is the babies room… I actually got to spend time alone there for awhile…. I looked outside and there was 3 black cats in the yard!!! Love it

Bro I was literally just sketching while Mr Ballen was telling the second story. Then when the voice came on at 13:42 I literally felt my heart jump into my throat. Then when I realized it was just a voice filter he was using I couldn't help but laugh at how scared I got.

From where I am from (Balkan Peninsula) we also cover the mirrors in case someone died in a household. The tradition also included the coffin being taken out through the window.
There has to be something behind it when so different and remote cultures practised similar tradition...
