Dito sa States, Seafood City Supermarket is charging extra $2.00 for upgrade meat they claim. You can buy any sizes of Kare -Kare, then when you are ready to pay, there is an extra $2.00 charge. What is really the right meat to use when preparing Kare-Kare so there is no extra charge added.? The meat in the container has very small amounts of meat in the first place.
Then Island Pacific Supermarket is charging extra $1.50. I argued with the store manager, it was not right. Whatever meat is used to cook Kare-Kare should be the meat. I only both the small container because of the sauce, then I bought my own meat with other ingredients. The meat was a joke, two or three chunk pieces of meat. ‘We’ Pilipinos want to support our Kababayan, pero minsan masahol pa sila mag charge for small serving. I prefer to go to Chinese or Japanese restaurants.
