Filipino here and first time watching So Hyang. I prefer this over Regine's. More soul, vocal techniques, Clear vocals and range. even prefer this version than Mariah's and Morisette's. So hyang gave justice to this song.

so hyang can sing high note she gave her all and try new grounds when it comes to singing while regine has a voice quality and it delivers a sound nice to my ear, while so hyang sometimes brought something new to chill on, all in all they both talented.
She's good but not perfect. There were sharp notes and screechy sounds when she tried to reach the high notes. And she doesn't have low notes. Her voice isn't that powerful, I bet if she has a concert and will sing more than 10 powerful and high belting songs, she won't even last half way through.
I don't care if somebody likes sohyang or regine cause everybody has the right to choose and I also don't care if the reason behind their preference includes nationalism. In fact I'd say it's fair to support their country's Singer just like we support our countries in a football match. However it's not right to say bad things about other country's singers just to make their singers supreme. There are people like them in every country but based on the comments I've seen a lot of Filipinos who does that here and it reminds me of my experience in the Philippines. I lived in the Philippines for a year to study English before I went to the US and I went to a private international school where a lot of kids were Filipinos although English was the common language in the school. I was just an elementary school student so I was indeed young but I was capable of knowing wrongs and rights and the Filipino kids were always making groups and called Koreans "onion smell" mainly to show their superiority and I considered their nature of wanting to be superior parallel between my experience and the comments. Oh and for ur information please go and take a look at a tiny little bit of statistics on the economy of Korea and Philippines before you try to act as if you are the superior country. I just have a pretty bad memory about the discrimination i experienced in the Phillipines.

I personally liked it more than Regine's performance, but of course I am also a Regine fan, I think you have presented a video of Regine that was not that captivating. I know that there's a different version of that of Regine out there. Plus the fact that the attack was different. I am a Filipino and have watched the video a couple of times before and yes she was amazing. I personally liked it more than Regine's performance, but of course I am also a Regine fan, I think you have presented a video of Regine that was not that captivating. I know that there's a different version of that of Regine out there. Plus the fact that the attack was different. So Hyang's version was accompanied with a different "areglo" that made it more goosebumpy than Regine's.
Maybe you should try comparing So Hyang to Morissette. Let's see who's better?
