As an aspiring religious man born and raised in the Philippines, I've grown to consider Halloween and Spooky Season as two different things. Also, setting up Christmas lights starting in May is weird to me, but I can believe it being a reaction to the more familiar experience of leaving them on after the Christmas season due to laziness.

filipino octavio moment, in here we prepare for christmas very early starting from summer to december itself (i hoard persents and ornaments during summer so i dont run out or get affected by price rise during the holidays)

In my perspective, the reason why we Filipinos prepare Christmas at September is because we just really love the atmosphere of Christmas 😂. I remember every News tv networks before, they start counting down Christmas 100 days before it (and that's around September). And I remember how excited it felt for me as a child watching it on news at night everyday (the countdown). Also, the lively music and lights just gave so much life to malls and houses.
We also don't give a damn about how hot it is still outside setting up Christmas stuffs because that's like happening 365 days a year m in Philippines lmao.
Though putting it on May is something else 😂
It's already September and I can confirm that Christmas music is being played in the PH, and the local news already set up the Christmas countdown at the end of their segment.

Philippines probably is the only country who celebrates Christmas season as early as September. Filipinos even decorates Christmas decors way before Halloween.

•We don’t actually celebrate halloween in south elysium. At around October 30/31, you will see a few kids here and there in their cute little halloween costumes but in real life halloween (Nov 1st) we call it “All souls Day/ Memorial day/ Undas” which is a day wherein you and your family visit the cemetery to honor your late loved ones, thats the real south elysian halloween, literally every cemetery is full of people
(its kinda wholesome seeing kids and family have a picnic near their loved ones grave)
•I moved to the US around halloween time and the amount of halloween stuff i’ve seen really baffles me lol I was like y’all actually take this holiday seriously?
•The “BER MONTHS” (september, october, november, december) comment that octavio made is actually a real thing. In South Elysium, the overall “environmental” vibes changes during the Ber months (christmas spirit) so everybody goes “OMG THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT IS HERE!!” and then people starts getting hyped lol
•Once September 1st hits, every household is blasting All I want for christmas is you or any Jose Marie Chan christmas song, Malls are starting to add christmas decorations, people in facebook started posting christmas greetings and vendors would start selling christmas foods and decors lol

There's someone on the main street in town who has Halloween decorations up year round. Like, a ton. They do not do a Christmas version of the display either lol.
In Korea, people of different religions live together and are divided into those who celebrate Christmas and those who do not. Usually at Christmas eat out with family or couple.
