Agreed. When I learned it I became obsessed for two years and transcribed 4 versions from the movie (apparently there are "12 versions" according to the lore)
I was able to combine them into one arrangement and I play it often with my orchestra
Still one of the best songs ever written

Maybe my hearing is just not good. Are they singing the title of the song as
1. La bella Maria de mi almo, or
2. La bella Maria de mi amor
For no. 2, this is what I usually see when I Google the lyrics but looks like a little bit off since it's English translation is "(The) beautiful Maria of my love" which is different from "Beautiful Maria of my soul", while the one for no. 1 just differs in the grammatical gender of the title in Spanish "Bella Maria de mi alma"
