Make SURE !!! to clean your track and the wheels very very thoroughly before running. Also Check CV 217 and set it to 50 so that way your loco doesn't stop completely. Also helps while programming.
Awesome review of the mighty sp ac6000cw #600 because of this review I’m ordering sp ac6000cw #601 I should be receiving by Saturday 6/6/20 thank you for showing us your video!
I've considered it, but I definitely am not going to get one for myself. While it looks nice and sounds pretty good, they don't run great and really, they don't fit in with what I want to model (late 1990s). We have a couple at the store and I might decide to review them but I have other things I want to review first from Kato and Rapido. Reviews have been on hold for a while because of computer issues.
Just got mine. It runs okay bit noisy. I just wish they painted the grab irons like Fox Valley model does.. At this price I couldn't understand why they would not come painted..
I have actually already sold mine haha... They need to do some more work on their models. They've come further since the E8s which are still plagued with problems because they used defective decoders. They're getting closer, and maybe in several years they'll get it. Of course, by then other companies will be on top of DCC sound as well and you might as well just go with them instead.
BLI models talk it up like its so great. Sound is'nt everything especially when it doesn't sound like a real locomotive. That's my reason for staying away from them
I ended up selling mine. It looked nice but did not run the best after a little while. A lot of Bachmann's engines do much better at pulling. the UP DDA40X engines can pull just about anything. We have two of them on the layout.
I have heard two people say they've had that now. I guess I just got lucky. I had heard plenty of people with the E8s arriving DOA and mine died about a week after I got it and everyone pointed to the decoders that they were using. I figured by now they would have figured that out.
Turns out their excuse is they ran out of chips in the middle of production and had to buy chips in China and those chips were faulty. They have since recalled their AC6000s.
How much do these cost?
$259 msrp but they can get as low as $120-150

Are you going to get a BLI GE ES44AC and do a review on it?

I haven't run mine without having the sound on, I can't hear the sound of the model over the sound of the decoder.
Great review 👍
Quite the sound sound from such a small model
I own a AC6000CW
It’s CSX
A lot of noise for $200. Glad I didn't purchase it.

the volume is adjustable. I got mine the end of December and have had no issues and volume is just fine now
7:34 wait that’s the one my ho scale ac6000 southern pacific locomotive sounds
This engine really pull much of a load . I purchased the UP& the SP I think Bachmann would out pull &out run both of these engines

I'm glad I'm not alone. I also think Bachmann has more details . It's just a shame they don't run very good
Nice review, but this model is a pile of junk. I received the DOA version. Sent it back. Up until now, I had never received a DOA - not even Bachmann.

@@ConsolidatedRailFan If you contact BLI They are pretty helpful in exchanging decoders.
