Llandudno reminds me of an old joke, on a good day you can see Blackpool from the top of Great Orme. On a very good day you can’t.
You lucky girl! Trains, beautiful stations, plenty of water, beautiful scenery and fish and ships at the sea. Love to see you so happy. Makes me happy too 😊.
I remember my parents driving through Conwy on the old road, coming back from Holyhead ferry
Bring on the (town) wall! 🙌 and yes it does look like Chester footbridge!
I think Nuneaton has a similar design for its footbridge covering platforms 1 to 6.
BRING ON THE WALL
Conwy Castle is good. I've been many a time. Good views from the top. I'm enjoying this series.
i really enjoyed watching this i holidayed in Rhyl in 2019 & its a lovely seaside town & i also visited Conwy & Colwyn Bay which are amazing & i love North Wales its very scenic brilliant vlog
Loving JenOnTheMove Does Facts 😁
loved seeing you visit Colwyn Bay, it's my favourite seaside town in the country because it's not just incredibly beautiful but very peaceful too. I'd highly recommend doing the walk up to Rhos-on-Sea if you find yourself back there, and make sure to visit the Picture House too, it's the most beautiful wetherspoons I've ever been in :)
Chips on a seaside pier. The perfect ending to a Jen video!
Great video, thank you, wales looks beautiful
A reminder of some of my childhood holidays, seaside, beautiful scenery and the railway running along the coast
Colwyn Bay station was 4 platforms [two islands] before the dual carriageway was built in the 1980s
Great video Jen, a lovely part of Wales :)
Awesome video Jen. Great to see that Conwy isn't a request stop anymore as it a popular destination for tourists, might head back there one day to have a closer look at the Tubular bridge
I enjoyed the 2nd episode just as much as the first one Jen. But definitely really stunning scenery especially with the Conwy bridges over the river in this one.
Chippy by the sea! Classic. 😊
Brilliant video.
jen there is a new interchange at stockport if you want to see that and it just opened yesterday
The double bridge reminds me of Lancaster
Another great video, Jen. The only other place that I’ve been through a town / city wall is Luxembourg City!
York too.
Some train announcements still say it's a request stop.
You´ve seen Drew Pritchard very famous antiques shop in Conwy ? So much history, Bangor and Holyhead famous LFPG to come !
Jen it looks like llandudno junction station Bridge too
Shame about the cars in Conwy. Our geotechnics professor worked on the A55 tunnels there, fascinating seeing the construction work. The marina is the construction site where they built the tunnel segments and eventually flooded.
Fabulous views and the chips looked good, those pesky voyagers are out to plague you 🤣
Excellent video Jen really enjoyed watching
Brilliant video Jen, this line just gets more and more beautiful as you go along, I really do need to ride it someday. :)
There is always something special about bridges. So many times they pushed technology to the limit to achieve a single span when two spans would have been easy. Then designers of easier bridges simply make them as elegant as possible. The three crossings of the Conway show this. Stephenson's box girder bridge (that must have been a nightmare in steam days) and Telford's suspension cleverly achieved single spans. Their towers were then castellated to match the surroundings. Meanwhile the simple 1950's road bridge is slim and unobtrusive.
The modern tunnel has its own charms but of course you can't see it because it's buried beneath the water.
We do great things when we need to cross water!
Great video Jen i always enjoy your adventures
Beware of the extreme dangers of holding an unguarded Chip on the end of a Fork, in a Seaside Town.
Somewhat disappointed though, that nothing "Avianlike" arrived with Gusto.
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
Jen!! No mention of the Rhyl monorail. Short-lived though it was it added a touch of something to the town.
Oooohh Ryhl station is lovely. I envision flowering baskets from those beautiful bracket on the platform. This video like those done by others makes me want to do Wales by rail. I could spend a day wandering around Conwy appreciating the preservation and harmonization of the infrastructure. Some day I hope you do a series of videos on the different type trains and why you do or do not like them
idea: heathrow central to reading, one take the elizabeth line and change at hayes and harlington, other take the express into paddington nd take GWR to reading
Use this line at least 3 times a year
I find it surprising that Conwy Station was ever not a normal stopping stop, I would have thought in would be quite a touristy place, different kind of touristy place than Rhyl but still a place with a lot of visitors visiting just for the sake of visiting. Fish and Chips on the pier without being dive bombed by seagulls after your chips, how do you do it?
Was that G doing the camera work? I'm sure it was her ordering the seaguls
Welcome to my patch (Deganwy, DGY also no longer a request stop)! I can recommend the Albion as a proper pub you passed whilst in Conwy.
If you haven't already, check out my videos from the Conwy Valley line, I had such a great time!
Unfortunately with Xc there getting more Voyagers from Avanti when the new trains arrive so the one you got on you could well end up on it again but In Xc colours
Russel lane reference?
What did you say at 4 seconds at the start of the video I left you at Abergavenny or abergalliwy ?
Abergele, as she was at Abergele & Pensarn station which is one stop west of Rhyl :)
is Jen a Welsh lass or a Welsh lass at heart?
Very much at heart!
@@JenOnTheMove your Welsh pronation is very good
@QALibrary you won't be saying that when you've seen me one stop west of Bangor 😂
Did you visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiogogogoch?
Jen, why do you hate cars. They enable people from point a to point b when they want, and they can stop when they want
