Now our Qi Ji has an excuse for not trotting behind Mommies when they are out on Mars. “I follows you mommies but sumtimes somersaults takes overs me brains,” Joan caught him explaining to Mei. And the call of the trees to climb them also has mind control powers over him. Whether she bought his excuses we couldn’t tell but momma’s love for her precious miracle kept taking over Mei’s heart. Like when she reminded him to be careful which QJ claimed not to have heard because he “gots waxes in me ears.”
BEST AND SWEETEST VIDEO EVER OF THE MONTH SO FAR....which showcase so much of Qi Ji's panda personality ...with the opening scene 0:18 of silly Qi Ji lazily slide on his back into the pool of water at the rockwork to Qi Ji experimenting with rolling down the hill with the tub....i LOL at his cuteness when his panda feet and butt stuck out in the air from the tub at 2:03 and the tub flipped over and almost covered him underneath....this little grown up cubbie can sprint so fast now on the yard and up the trees! Mei Xiang look so beautiful at 8:03 she can be the poster girl for world wildlife fund (WWF)...Qi Ji has endless tricks to attract momma's attention and to play with him from adorably dropping himself to the ground and rolling playfully to inviting momma to play catch-me-if-you-can at times....but mommy was just interested in taking a relaxing stroll around the yard today... when Mei Xiang seemed to be looking pensively in the distance at 8:30, wonder what she was thinking... maybe she was wondering what's life supposed to be out there beyond her zoo compound which she had spent all her life...and Qi Ji realizing that may have told Mei Xiang, "mommy, look, I found this cool place which I think we can escape from here one day.."... or maybe in the midst of her pensive thoughts she realize that Qi Ji look like such a big 11-month old cubbie now seeing him from that distance which suddenly reminds Mei of Bei Bei or the rest of her cubbies, and knowing that one day, Qi Ji will still go to have his own great life like his other siblings... Well, Qi Ji still has lots to learn from momma Mei....and momma Mei is blessed with the company of her beloved cubbie and has no complain showering him with lots of love, care and guidance to be a good panda...and one of the most important lessons that Qi Ji has to master now is learning how to eat bamboo... which Qi Ji can be seen at 11:45 to has his own best way of eating bamboo (LOL) high up on the rockwork, NOPE not the fresh young bamboo lying around but he specifically targeted the bamboo perched near the edge of the rockwork... then momma Mei Xiang walked past 12:33 and asked Qi Ji, "son, what are you doing up there?!" ..to which Qi Ji replied, "Mom, I am eating bamboo.." and 12:38 momma Mei Xiang said, "come down here and sit next to me and eat bamboo properly.." and Qi Ji went, "..but Uncle Marty put the bamboo there for me..." then the closing scene is the best: mommy Mei resting next to Qi Ji at his favourite sleeping spot, face touching head, and oh, Qi Ji must have smelled like he has not taken a bath for some time from all the playing in the yard in the heat of the summer, so Mei Xiang immediately rise from her resting spot and give Qi Ji a gentle loving much-needed clean up... just like how she used to clean her baby cub when he was a tiny little thing..❤️
A cub plus a tub equals a hub of love. Our comical Qi Ji found a new way to amuse himself and us, his devoted fans. QJ rolling with his tub down the hill was among the most delightful sights DoxieMom have shared with us. Our miracle rode his tub and it flipped over him while both rolled like tumbleweeds. It was a feast of joy for the eyes and hearts.

Our little cubbie sure can entertain himself he was such a goofy little guy today . I so loved how he played with that tub and his beautiful jolly ball i was laughing so hard at him i kept wondering what he was going to do next with that tub and that ball then he goes and does his bear nastics over at the tee pee and again i was laughing he really was goofy and mischievous today. i am telling you he is going to win honey gold in those bearlympics he is so ready. Mei is such a great teacher she has this little guy so ready for beardom he has watched and learned they both are so cute he follows her now and they are just like such a pair of buddies sometimes and then when they were inside he was precious up there eating those boo leaves he really has that down now and then to go and sit with mom and eat together twinning is precious. Then when he was sleeping in mei's spot and she gave it to him what a mom. What we moms want do for our kids. Doxie i think you are right about him getting a delivery up there for his fruitie he look like a king cubbie eating his fruitie and i so still love his nursing just precious and then mom and him napping together so warms the heart . Our big QJ was off and running this morning! A mile a minute -vrooommmm! Momma Mei was watching and keeping an eye to her cub. She eventually got to have her fruitie in peace - ahh. I never knew that there were 4 pandas at the zoo at one time! It was when Bei Bei was a cubbie like Qi Ji. Bei Bei was as rambunctious and funny as Qi Ji is now. Mei spent a lot of time trying to keep Bei Bei out of the trees, to no avail 😁, and he would go really high up!!
Kay, I was watching when Bei Bei was born in 2015, and big sister Bao Bao (born 2013) was still in residence at the Zoo! It was a delightful time to be a panda fan, and I kick myself that I quit doing videos when I moved across country. Just yesterday I ran across tons of unedited footage of Bei Bei that I had recorded back in 2015-2016 ~ a lot of it I had edited to create RUclips videos, but I always have a surplus to choose from!

I was surprised it took Buster Bear a bit to shake himself from that backward plunge. Mama said no thank you to the shower that came from his shaking! 😆 💦 At about 3:38, he does a cute lean backward to sprawl out in the grass! He’s getting adept at rolling with relatively small items like his tub and ball. I’m sure he’d like to take a large log with him some day! 🪵 He sure loves to munch boo at odd angles. Snug as a cub in a tub! Qi Ji is adorable playing in and with it. I am just trying to get in a little more Mei and Qi Ji before I fly home today. But I will be returning in February or March 2022 for an important exhibit, so I look forward to seeing them again, I’m sure with a much bigger cub (or ex-cub)!
I swear sometimes when I’m walking I feel like I should just start rolling around because little bear makes it look so fun! My bf said that would be weird so I refrain but it’s just so great to see little Mr. Fluffypants rolling around full of joy. ❤️🥰
Thank you doxiemom so needed been having well no worries fell couple months back thought a 20ft panda roll be fun (well kinda ) finally went to get checked funny thing lost a couple crowns n by no means are dental affordable but just to let anyone know best to go after 21/2 months im on verge of septic knew didn't feel great but o my so heavy dose antibiotics last ten days n tomorrow being scheduled for dental surgery im petrified the bruised kidney be okay which just found out sorry to Ramblin be ok on prayers o did I mention im petrified lol so this was an awesome video thank you so much also a simple broke well 3 for me please go dentist you never know i sure couldn't believe it 🖤🤍🐼🐼🐼🐾🐾🌊🤍🖤

Our big QJ was off and running this morning! A mile a minute -vrooommmm! Momma Mei was watching and keeping an eye to her cub. She eventually got to have her fruitie in peace - ahh. QJ enjoyed his too. Maybe a lesson in there? But Mei comes back and all the momma she can be. Nothing like Momma Mei and me! ❤️🐼❤️

What a joyous video of a happy Qi Ji enjoying his day, inside and out! I was smiling through this whole video and it gives me such joy to know that Mei and Qi Ji are happy and content at the SNZ. Thank you DoxieMom for giving us the opportunity to see these beautiful creatures on a regular basis.
Also, since I can't get enough of these 3 pandas, I troll RUclips to find video of Bei Bei and Bao Bao and today I saw a national tv news story about the fact that there were 4 pandas at the zoo and it was a lot of work taking care of them.
I never knew that there were 4 pandas at the zoo at one time! It was when Bei Bei was a cubbie like Qi Ji. Bei Bei was as rambunctious and funny as Qi Ji is now. Mei spent a lot of time trying to keep Bei Bei out of the trees, to no avail 😁, and he would go really high up!!
Kay, I was watching when Bei Bei was born in 2015, and big sister Bao Bao (born 2013) was still in residence at the Zoo! It was a delightful time to be a panda fan, and I kick myself that I quit doing videos when I moved across country. Just yesterday I ran across tons of unedited footage of Bei Bei that I had recorded back in 2015-2016 ~ a lot of it I had edited to create RUclips videos, but I always have a surplus to choose from!

Momma Mei and her precious baby boy, laying together by his door, is the most beautiful scene. It put a completely different kind of smile on my face than the one I had during his ROMP in the yard. As always, QiJi's nursing melts my heart. Weaning should be outlawed!
I was surprised it took Buster Bear a bit to shake himself from that backward plunge. Mama said no thank you to the shower that came from his shaking! 😆 💦 At about 3:38, he does a cute lean backward to sprawl out in the grass! He’s getting adept at rolling with relatively small items like his tub and ball. I’m sure he’d like to take a large log with him some day! 🪵 He sure loves to munch boo at odd angles. Wow, today he and Mama each got to eat their fruities in peace without challenges from each other! 😯

Snug as a cub in a tub! Qi Ji is adorable playing in and with it. I am just trying to get in a little more Mei and Qi Ji before I fly home today. But I will be returning in February or March 2022 for an important exhibit, so I look forward to seeing them again, I’m sure with a much bigger cub (or ex-cub)!

It has to be negotiated with the Chinese, so there's nothing definite yet.

Thank you doxiemom so needed been having well no worries fell couple months back thought a 20ft panda roll be fun (well kinda ) finally went to get checked funny thing lost a couple crowns n by no means are dental affordable but just to let anyone know best to go after 21/2 months im on verge of septic knew didn't feel great but o my so heavy dose antibiotics last ten days n tomorrow being scheduled for dental surgery im petrified the bruised kidney be okay which just found out sorry to Ramblin be ok on prayers o did I mention im petrified lol so this was an awesome video thank you so much also a simple broke well 3 for me please go dentist you never know i sure couldn't believe it 🖤🤍🐼🐼🐼🐾🐾🌊🤍🖤
