    Perfect timing. I just got some new lithops and have been doing research on watering. Thank you for the advice. I’m in the US so most of mine are splitting now in winter, but your videos help me to know what to expect in the months to follow. You guys are great! I hope your family is well. :)

    Lithops are still on my to-get list.
    So gathering info on them beforehand definitely helps.
    Good to see you guys back with your tips ☺️

    SUCCULENT BUDDIES, I recently bought plants from Mr & Mrs Mick, I have purchased a lot of succulents online but none as superb as the plants I received from Mick's succulents, each specimen was large and beautiful with an impressive root system just like the lithop shown here. Care and attention is taken in wrapping, labeling and ensuring they arrive in the best possible condition. I am delighted with my new plants.

    I HAVE HEARD that they're MEANT to wrinkle as they're pushing up the next 2 leaves. Watering then WILL KILL them. But you gotta know what part of the cycle they're at

    • @mickssucculents
      @mickssucculents  Год назад

      Yes that's right. When the outer leaves are starting to get squishy, avoid watering until most of the outer leaves have pretty much died from the new leaves consuming the nutrients from them 🙂👍

    I thought you watered these plants about three times a year. Because they store a lot of water in their fleshy leaves unless I was wrong. Tried growing them as a kid but they died. Must have overwatered them.

    • @mickssucculents
      @mickssucculents  Год назад

      That is true, but when they are young (straight after germination) they do require extra watering so they don't dry out completely. I think in production settings, people water them more to get faster growth out of them so they can sell.

      3 times a year FOR ADULT plants. You still water the babies a lot. This goes for pretty much all succulents except the tropic succulents which need be watered far more like zigzag cacti and dragonfruit. Stupid me bought about 150 dragonfruit plants and then find this out later.

    Why not set up the tripod so she can talk too! Little distracting when the director is talking over the person in front of the camera.

    Why was she trolling him about fractions? I understood what he was saying just fine. Then she ruined his outro with “I just wanted to say..” as if he didn’t address watering already.

      I confused my wife at the time of me saying the parts. I don't think it was trolling at all. Nothing wrong with her asking me questions while filming 👍
