I am about to do this with four jacaranda seedlings. Thank you for posting this video. How are your plants doing today, a year later?

Starting jacarandas from seed seem to be a little finicky for me. Maybe they need a different soil composition? They aren't as hardy as royal poincianas and tabebuias. So with the exception of the jacarandas, the rest of my plants are doing great!

@@TheAdventitiousGardener our journeys are reversed. My wife bought me a kit with jacarandas, poincianas, a spruce, and pine seeds. All but the poincianas have sprouted and are doing great, I think.
I followed your video and got the jacarandas repotted. Thank you so much. I’m using 50/50 tiny roots deciduous blend bonsai soil and peat moss. They seem to be growing fine. We’ll see if I can get them to survive the Pennsylvania winter.
I’m rambling now but thanks again for the video. It helped a lot and I appreciate it.

@@khimes100 I have a trick to getting poinciana seeds to sprout. I’ll do a video on it for you soon. They’re tough to start because of their hard casing but I have a secret trick that works every time.
You’ll have to post a video so I can see your progress too. I’ll try your soil mix for the jacarandas. Are you doing bonsai too?

@@khimes100 I just realized if you’re in PA it might get too cold for poincianas. I think they need tropical climate.

@@TheAdventitiousGardener I would appreciate that video. My poincianas are the only ones not to sprout. I learned about hardiness zones after planting. I have a few species that should thrive in the PA winter. The jacarandas will be brought inside over the winter. I have some research to do but I intend to rig up heat mats/UV Lamps to see if I can trick them into living through winter.
