It makes me sad to think that if Andrew had not given it one last try, we would not have him in the show, because he is just that good.
Continue to amaze me Andrew.
I get choked up when I think of how wonderfully he portrays emotions. Two of my favorite examples are when he's in the RV, season 6 and the walkers are coming, the RV won't start. The sheer desperation he conveys. The second is when they first arrive in Alexandria and he's in the car. The close up of his face. His eyes, how his expression changes when he hears the children inside the gates.
Those are great examples, my new favourite is when Negan asks Rick to cut Carl's hand off, that whole scene gives me goosebumps, Andrew's acting is just mind-blowing.
The look on his face after Negan leaves with Eugene was priceless. In that moment I believe he realized no matter what he did Negan was going to kill people. His efforts meant nothing to that serial killer!
(Peace from Sheila Burns) (2) of my favorite scenes: Rick's devastation when he looks at Carl and knows Lori is dead. He cries/screams in agony and falls to the ground .... I was done!!!! ... Boohooing like crazy. And in the premiere, S7E1, when they show a close up of Rick's eyes as he drives the RV away from the horror. OMG!!!! Andrew Lincoln's eyes are so damn expressive!!! He is so great in emotional scenes as well as so many tough physical scenes. Love Rick and TWD!!!

Another fantastic I love is the scene in Season 3x07 (When the Dead Come Knocking), when Rick finds Carol is still alive, and she sees Judith for the first time and realizes Lori is gone. When she looks at Rick and he falls apart and cries there...I well up myself. lol
WHO EVER WANTS TO GET INTO ACTING, SHOULD LISTEN TO THIS MAN. HE IS A FANTASTIC ACTOR.

Why is this guy so underrated? Take for example Daniel Craig , James McAvoy, Brad Pitt just to name a few...they are so meh...yet they are bigger stars. Lincoln's acting range is so extreme he can go from happy to rage to despair in one episode. Legend!!

i mean jon bernthal is way bigger than andrew even though he only played in 2 seasons of twd. but that was the good thing. afterwards ppl wanted him in different movies and genres and people found out about him. If you didnt watch twd you dont know andrew lincoln. or most ppl dont.
He probably could be in a flick like those guys, but simply doesn't want that sort of role or be in that sort of film.

What you guys missed is he didn't say 25 auditions for The walking Dead. He may have done 25 different auditions for 25 different roles and finally got one. Just because you additional I does not mean you're worth more.

He really helped me with this interview because I am so afraid of failing at my auditions but it took 25 auditions for him! He is so talented and I have just started so maybe I should realise it is hard but that I still need to believe in myself and keep going.

Acting has always intrigued me. That and comedy are two things I'd love to get into. But I have issues and fears which hold me back from doing what I want most. I'm more than a little shy and introverted (if you prefer the labels), which make me want to avoid most social situations, not to mention stage fright. I also have problems with my speech and that makes me especially self conscious (as if my low self-esteem needed more of a burden). I could go on, but you get the idea. I know what I want to do, I just dunno how I'll go about doing it yet.

Utter and Uck are not great sounding parts to have in a name. The advice was sound, if you have a stupid sounding name you use a stage name. A lot of the mainstream people don't use real names such as Demi Moore, Martin Sheen, Joaquin Phoenix (Real name Bottom), Whoopi Goldberg, Kirk Douglas, Audrey Hepburn, ... there's many more throughout screen history I just can't recall them right now.
