It is European, Scandinavian inspired. Hence the rustic dull look. It's furniture meant to be assembled so its not the best quality. The price point is not bad and they now have random sales. So its not a bad buy. If you are looking for something fancy ikea might not be the place. But its a fun shopping experience and good for young people to learn to put things together.
