Honestly, people didn't like the $200 one but if he wrote and recorded that in one day that ain't half bad. I agree the drop could've been harder and the verse kinda just kept going into the hook, but it sounded like it was good quality and I liked that it kinda stayed on-message.
The $10 one sounded like it was recorded on someone's phone, but was otherwise pretty good.
The $50 one was straight garbage.
The $125 one, even if homie didn't put an actual hook in there, actually sounded the best in my opinion. The verse was fast but legible, the vocals were forward but not overshadowing the beat.
The $60 one was pretty bad in my opinion, but I can't tell it was the rapping or the fact that the vocals sounded like they were recorded in a wood shed.
The $35 one's verse was pretty good imo, but the mixing was awful and the hook ended up being pretty boring.

To be honest, I'm sure they did the best they could off of the beat they were given, BUT, other than the UK guy who had good energy and the $10 guy who should charge more, none of them really stood out or seemed special to me. The industry is so saturated right now, more than ever, so rappers have to have something special whether it's their voice, style/flow, or their lyrics. But on the flip side, most people dont even pay attention to lyrics anymore and a song's popularity relies too much on the beat now. I've been listening to rap since the early 80's and these days there is so much garbage lyrics out there on top of fire beats. Was this beat fire, no it was just ok, at least to my ears.

Just about every single skill is saturated these days considering how easy it is to share with the world and learn new things.
It's very hard and rare for a truly unique idea to be made. The good thing is that there are so many people that you don't necessarily need to be over the top to please them. A lot of people are okay with the fact that someone doesn't stand out particularly much, as long as the content they produce is enjoyable and well crafted.

Honestly, I know he just kind of threw it together but I thought the beat was lackluster, generic, underwhelming and unnecessarily slow for an instrumental that was intended to be versatile for multiple independent artists to rap over. A lot of these guys weren't equipped to make the best of it, but nonetheless were attempting to make the best of a far below-average instrumental.

So true. Lyrics don’t mean much nowadays. That’s why all these trash ass mumble rappers get so big. They have a fire beat and it becomes a hit! Beats/flow > lyrics nowadays

    That’s a sick beat. He’s basically paying
“Ghost writers” that spit bars. Try this strategy next time: Find a legit “ghost writer” and have him listen to the beat then write lyrics for it and the have a rapper sign the ghost writer’s lyrics. Will be more expensive but will have a much better outcome and results.
This overall actually gives valid reason to make beats, cause now you have legit rappers and can make your song worthy to listen and Monetize.

@@Nelson4207 it’s about the fact of trying, and to have a valid reason and purpose that is justified in making music, always trying and enjoying/learning the art and then someday one will make a killer track with the help of ghost writers and artists.

🤦‍♂️always be specific kyle. Let em know your taste before hand, or else allow room for let downs. Don't care how "professional" they is.
