You could make pockets of areas on the map that allow a sky city that hovers above the water or land. Or you could make it so you can found an air city or elevate one of your cities to an air city (taken through the general tree) that makes the siege time double or sabotages the enemies siege projects. The city breaks from the world and is hovering above the ground. That would be so cool haha
Understandable not being able to do a whole sky layer. Instead, I'd love to see individual floating/mobile cities and perhaps mobile terrain features.. walking mountains, moving islands, storms, etc. That way you don't have to increase the size of the map but you get more dynamism
1:08:50 great to see you two swearing an oath and fully commiting to the Season 3. Herby we are expecting Season 4 as well, to complete the first grand cycle of AoW 4. BTW for the 2nd grand cycle (Seasons 5-8) can you just do a grand cycle pass so that we don't have to get one pass for every season?
About others racial forms you can get nearly whatever you want, just take inspiration from nature, by seeimg lots of animals and plants we have, so fish/shark form, crustacean/lobster form, weird flowers form, a Bat-like form that coul inspire some vampiric background and so on... Also, considering that finally Archons will return, im expecring more features inspired to ancient Greeks/Romans, they have plenty of mythological units to fit with this game, so why not Minotaur form, centaur form (or maybe centaur transformation from one tome)
Any attempt to add "underwater" cities I think requires the introduction of more islands on generic maps to allow both the underwater races as well as the landlubbers more ways to not only exploit the water but also challenge one another for local dominance. It does sound like a challenge regardless of the path you guys choose, but I think there are solutions that would allow for fun and varied gameplay without adding a full extra layer to the game.

For underwater just add a third later with ports like to the underground. Have the habitable area of the water layer match the water in the upper layer and inverse the map.
That's why you stack defense items and skill buffs. Industrial culture has the best healer unit in the game as well which helps crutch even the anvil guard.
I’ve been toying with the idea of getting this looks great. My biggest question is can you continue with the race you design after you finish a match, do you get to keep all the cool stuff you acquire along the way and into subsequent matches? (Kind of a rpg, keep your upgrades) or does everything reset? When you load a new match?
Cant remember the name of the weapon, but there is a gorgeous 2h(?) sword with a blood/red mist effect on the blade that would go so well with vampires
In fact having 3 layers in the game already too much. And I see real problem in slowing down the game and AI losing a lot of HP while moving in Umbral Abyss. Why people want more layers?
Because underwater cities or sky cities sound cool. People don't know how difficult it would be to implement let alone how much of an impact adding either of these layers would have on the performance. How could you know unless you are an active modder or developer.
Ok, Tom is way too stressful to me, the way he flickers through menus and abilities and hardly listens to Luis. My stomach clenches as I tried to eat a sandwich while watching. Skipping to next part.

This game is just getting better and better.
It is far from Aow 2 still, especialy with Brave New World mod
I've immediately bought the expansion pass even before watching purely because the first expansion pass was straight gas
Love how much time and energy you're putting into all the expansions! This looks like a great addition.
Oh Tempest, a Wizard from the Wizards Throne! I like that devs have gradually implemented wizards from previous AoW games!
Having like a vampire court that you make through gameplay could be cool
Feudal rework finally coming with expansion pass 3, just to support playing vampire nobles
Finally the Taunt ability has returned to its Shadow Magic usefulness!!!
Yes! More seasons confirmed *TOM LEAKS
Where at?

I really enjoy watching these and seeing the devs have a good time, they really show their passion for this game. Keep up the great work!
The people want vampires and mushroom people
they know
Mushroom folk seem PRIME for a future Underground based DLC.

Yes.... season pass 3, lets go.
@DEVS the sky layer map is a feature i already though many time ago for a probable Planetfall 2, or as i call ot, Orbitfall
I’m so excited to play martial arts inspired culture and mediate in combat to heal
Vampires sounds like a cool greater Transformation
Other people watching this be like, "yay punchy oni demon people"
Me rubbing my hands together "draaaaaagoooooons" lol
Elder Staff to Elden Staff? I'd have liked "senior staff" 🤭 Much love and thanks for the stream! You're all brilliant ❤

It would be very cool to see a headless horseman type of unit
I was happy to hear about Sky City and something underwater, and then he said it would not be in 😀😕😭
They should really consider renaming them Onikin if ogres are already in the game and look different. Plus I want western ogres

This looks overwhelming but fun.
The new cesta weapon looks like alot of fun. I've been wanting to make a rogue type ruler with a rogue faction similar to aow 3.
In which patch DLC, there will be cluture units Tier IV and above that do not require research (only buildings)?
It is a pity we don't have an oath of balance, that is about living on neutral alignment and equal of good and evil
Vampire transformation... order dark maybe?
Can leaders/heroes equip the Oathsworn seals as a mage-type weapon/orb variant?
Taunt is brutal because it results in people bashing your hero to death. I say leave it because you are having to pay health to use it.

Conquest of Elysium 5 has a sky layer with sky cities. Made by the same guys that make Dominions 6...

Leave the astral serpents be!

Penguin form when?
Klukva punches

underwater cities at least can just be on the current map layer we have
Ha yeah.. they'd have to be mutually exclusive. tbh I don't like sea cities as the ocean just becomes land by another name.
Nah, you just need a culture that specifically has sea units/cities as part of it.
It balances itself at that point.@@ResilientME
Instead of more DLCs how about fixing some of the incredible number of bugs!
Love the new Forms but ogrekin is a bad name. We have ogres already, call them onis or something.
