Yep! It makes it very easy to stay in cycle so you’re always hitting at certain times, I’ll explain it more in the guide in the next week or two

what tic do u attack him on to start the encounter?

Any/doesn’t matter; I set the cycle when the axe reaches the edge by hitting my reset key
