- It's time to return to Duck Burg in Duck Tales 2 on the Nintendo Game Boy! Scrooge is back and this time he needs to find the long lost McDuck Treasure! Can an old duck learn new tricks? Or should Capcom have gone fowl in this sequel to everyone's favourite Disney platformer?
This is the 53rd episode of Boyographic, the series looking to highlight the highs and lows of the Gameboy library, playing the hits and the misses so you don't have to!

I happen to be lucky to have both NES and GB versions of this game, as well as Chip N Dale 2 NES. Got them locally at a long dead retro game shop, $30 a pop for cart only, picked up almost 15 years ago, when the game was still selling for around $100 a pop for cart only for each NES sequel. Also have the first DuckTales on NES and GB, as well as Darkwing Duck for both. DT and DWD are up in value these days, no longer are they dirt cheap like they used to be, albeit not in the same stratosphere as their sequels, but still up there, even the first Chip N Dale is no longer dirt cheap.
I found the Game Boy version of DT2 for pretty cheap at a store, and just ordered it! Picking it up later today. I also got a Super Game Boy on the way for my SNES. I can’t afford to get the NES version of Duck Tales 2, lol
A buddy of mine found DT2 on the NES in the trash :/! Maybe one day I'll be lucky and find it on the cheap, but I've given up hope on that at this point haha!

Got both of the Duck Tales titles but yet to really sit down and try to master them. After watching this, I think it's time for round 2!!! DiNg DiNg! Another great review mate, please keep them coming. Do you have your HD Boy yet?

I never knew there was a 2nd Duck Tales for the NES or Gameboy, I really like the first one though and this looks really good.
Ritchstorm It's pretty good Ritch, for me the original is the better game, but that's coloured a lot by nostalgia. If you can come across this, it's a pretty good game though! Thanks for watching :)

Looks like there's a bunch of differences between this and the NES version besides graphics. More and different enemies and power-ups?
I don't know if it was your equipment, but I though I noticed some slowdown on some of those jumps? Anyways, this game looks really cool. I have the first one, but this one is always more than I am willing to spend for a game boy game.
Kyle Laurent It's true there can be some slowdown in the game, it only occurs however on some of the more ambitious sections. I'll keep an eye out for you Kyle, it's a pretty common title here in SCN, so I'll pick it up if I come across one again. Thanks for watching!
