@Dr. Cellini How can you even perform these procedures with how little sleep you get? It is definitely not healthy to get so little sleep especially with dealing with the stress of patients, writing notes, and everything else a doctors has to deal with. Also, how has the healthcare system not recognized how unhealthy this is for our doctors!?!
I know you’re very busy but if you ever have time I’d suggest reading Matthew Walker’s book on sleep “Why We Sleep” super interesting book and very enlightening.
    Enjoy your day!

@Andres healthcare doesn’t care that it’s not heathy. This is the only profession that you can’t just close for a day, a week, holidays, weekends, etc. Healthcare keeps going no matter what’s going on in the world. I work in a combo cardiac cath lab/ IR lab and we’re overworked and understaffed. Do patients care or know? Nope, we just keep pushing and caring for our patients. I will say, when you go the IR or cath lab, typic, those patients are really sick, so it’s very rewarding.
