@@dalehalverson1156yeah when I saw professor utonium and samurai Jack I knew they looked the same. And Tara Strong and Grey deslisle have been acting in the same TV shows like Ben 10 and Danny Phantom the fairly odd parents and Foster's home of imaginary friends and more. Say what happened at the end of samurai Jack?
Apparently, Jack did not pass the story of Aku to his decendence since one of his potential decendence, Professor Utonium found chemical X and had experiments with it. Most of all, he put the most dangerous material on the universe on the fragile glass.
Chemical X is pure black just like Aku’s liquid state. Makes a lot of sense that it would give the PowerPuff Girls superpowers (with the purity of sugar & spice with everything nice balancing the negative energy of Aku/Chemical X) while making Mojo Jojo green-skinned like Aku’s face ✨💫🐲👹🐒
You forgot to mention the fact that they're literally the same universe. Literally one of the first 3 episodes introducing us to Jack makes his first major fight in the future take place in the ruins of Townsville.
I wonder how the future got like that? I'm guessing there was a villain that was too strong for the PPG to beat, assuming the crossover theory is true. Now that I think about it, wasn't there an episode of PPG where they time traveled to the future and it was also in ruins? I wonder if Jack came from that timeline. Edit:I also wonder if there could be some potential connection between Him and Aku. The devil/demon similiarity can't be mere coincidence, can it?
@@utopian4769 Yes the moment I saw this I just assumed that Aku is an incarnation of Him that exist in multiple dimensions within their plain of existence 😅
@@utopian4769 Well, Aku states that he unleashed an "UNSPEAKABLE Evil." "Him" is both Evil and his true name is literally unspeakable. Maybe there is a connection?
In the intro to Samurai Jack, Aku states that he unleashed an "Unspeakable Evil". That "Unspeakable Evil" is actually Him from PPG. That's why Him is called Him, Him's name is unspeakable. We see in an episode what would happen if the PPG weren't there, Him was no longer distracted and unleashed nightmare terrors and destruction. Him is a pawn of Aku, distracted by the PPG.
funny enough, in 1 or so episodes of Samurai Jack, we actually see the destroyed remains of what's left of *"THE CITY OF TOWNSVILLE".* Even the Talking Dog from PPG makes a cameo.
I rather suspect that the doctor from the Powerpuff girls is a descendant of Samurai Jack. this means that Jack and the girls are active in the same world at different times
No, utonio could be a descedant of jack in the possible future where aku was eliminated. There is a wasted city with a similar design that the ppg save everyday. Utonio can a relative of jack once he undoes the past but it cannot br a descendant of ashi coz in a timeline without aku she never existed
What other connections are there to dot these two shows? Me: Oh I dunno, may be the fact in the second episode of the first series, the a city resembling Townsville is inhabited by a civilization of talking dogs?
I think mine is that remember when jack was finally able go back in time to stop aku noticed that as soon he went back aku already sent jack(2) to the future so the professor is actually jack without a reason to fight and he might know this cuz there was no aku no evil and then he become a professor of the Powerpuff girls
im sure somebody said but they have the same director too and he likes to connect his universes, the black goo “chemical x” also makes an appearance in primal
It’s the evolution of genetically modified good guys hear me out first it started off with spear from primal then it was samurai Jack, and then it was professor X from Powerpuff Girls they all came on on Cartoon Network and you can see the levels of evolution since they’re head transition from a thick blocky version to a thinner blocky version, to then more of a rounder blocky version there evolving
I think the two are related because professor utonium has decent Japanese relatives like in the last episode in power puff girl (the old version) we see in the party that professor Utonium invited all his relatives and we see one of them is Japanese.
U also see a city in the future very similar to Townsville in one of the episodes of Samurai Jack... U have the same talking dog 3d cut out....thats in PPG But ofcourse charred and destroyed
It could’ve been that samurai jack is ancestor of the professor. That samurai jack was tricked by Aku into being sent into a dystopian future where there’s no power puff girls and instead it’s a mix of hell and retro futurism, and weird ness. And that jack succeed into going back in time to his home and thus was able to become more stronger. Enough to eliminate Aku. At least seal him and so wouldn’t be able to reign the earth in darkness ever again. Jack lives in peace and makes the peacetime as best he could. And generations passed and professor u was born and succeeds in life. Becomes an important scientist of Townsville and creates the power puff girls. But neglects Mojo and creates a villain. Such peace time has not taught him about Aku and how not to create evil. But hey it’s just a theory. As fan theory.
could be because it was drawn by the same artist and that character design is easy for them to draw in a big variety of poses for the base shape then they add details to change the character
I could be. However HIM and Aku are different entities. HIM tells the ppg that he is ruler of Hell and always has been. He is also stronger able to destroy the world if he wants to and just plays with everyone. Him can be bested but not beaten. The ruins is the result of him succeeding. He shows them what will be in a few episodes.
Could've looked a bit more into this theory because Townsville destroyed is literally shown in Samurai Jack, I believe it's in the first 3 episodes (all three were a big pilot three parts), and the city isn't just resembling Townsville, you can look it, even the board sign of the talking dog and two other things next to that building were exactly replicated as the world was destroyed in the future timeline where Samurai Jack was sent into.
Honestly makes sense, the reason the girls are not evil is he mixed sweets and "everything nice" into the batch giving them the powers but with pure hearts.
There's another theory that he IS Samurai Jack since Jack was shown not to age while using the sword. Though, who knows if that's true after eating Aku.
It definitely explains the monsters that’s for sure I’m wondering if you put samurai Jack in Powerpuff Girls would the monsters have some sort of PTSD from seeing him
Samurai Jack is ammune to aging beyond his prime. And since it had only been 12 seconds went by in the past before he returned to the past and killed Aku, not much time went by at all. Plus anything could have happened as time moved on. Jack could have left his past behind as he out lives everything, while there is no more evil. Feeling like he's no longer needed he moved on, changed his name, prosued academic careers, got a PHD, became a professor, and was happy with this new life he had. A small part of Aku survived as Chemical X which Jack (Now professor Utonium) kept preserved for some reason. possibly to study it and it properties and discover something he never new about Aku, just incase he somehow returned stronger than ever...overtime he lost his way, completely forgetting all of what was in the past, even forgetting who he was and what he had actually been through. After a while he wanted to create "the perfect little girl" using sugar, spice, and everything nice. Then mojo jojo (who was just and ordinary monkey at the time) came along and pushed him, causing him to accidentally add chemical X into the perfect little girl concoction. Thus creating the powerpuff girls. Unless he does still remember everything and is just keeping his past hidden, to keep everything unspoken of, from evereyone including his creations. Once trouble arised to where he would have needed to bare his sword again, he watched the girls swoop in and save the day. He came to a realization that comforted him a little.... The World no longer needed him, so long as the powerpuff girls were there to fight evil. Of course this is just my theory
I think that because Craig McCracken, Chris Savino, & Gennedy Tartakovsky worked closely together in the early days of Hannah-Barbera (a.k.a Cartoon Network) a lot of their ideas rubbed off on each other. For instance, Bubbles has the same hairstyle and similar personality to DeeDee. Even Tarkakovsky and Savino are credited in some episodes of PPG. When you look at it from that angle, I think it's a really interesting take that Animators rub off and influence each other, and how that can impact years to come. It's fun! It's gives the theory more life to the Fandoms because both Animators worked together. It's kind of like when Justin Roiland Alex Hirsch featured in and characters featured in each others' works.
