    I think it really depends on the person. There are people who are ethical, honest , hardworking and a family member. Yes to hiring.
    There are family members who are not hardworking, or not honest, or entitled, no to hiring.

    You see this accepted incompetence everywhere. Places hiring anybody just to have the extra body. I see this all of the time while doordashing (side hustle).... Fast Food workers who just stand around, doing tasks super slow and don't know how to actually work. I feel like if someone can do the work of 2 people they should get that second person's pay, that would incentivize people to hustle and reward those who already are.

    Id say for the last guy he would invest in the extra truck and he can cycle it out with the other trucks so it doesn't sit but then all his trucks will get less wear. I'm a mechanic and I know people don't think about how much wear and tear happen on their vehicles, especially bigger trucks with heavy loads so I would think it would be worth it to get the extra truck, temporarily hire the part time guys and when the truck isn't needed you cycle your trucks so maybe truck 1 on Monday truck 2 on Tuesday etc. and that'll also extend the life of the trucks and reduce maintenance costs

I am Dave Ramsey and I am a god damned CEO of a god damned billion-dollar enterprise built over the course of 30 years with blood sweat and tears, but with absolutely zero debt, zero investment and zero fluff. The guy calling in about his brother seems like his fear is that his brother is probably the prodigal son of the family and he’s been busting his butt at his fathers firm and sees the vision but his brother who’s been figuring out what to do may come in and take away that validation share he’s been getting. Just my impression on why he’s calling in, I think he wanted some type of pat on the back from Dave

    With the first call I had a similar situation, my brother who was older than me wanted to work for my boss. My boss asked me if I would have any concerns with him working, at the time I didn’t but once he started working he would goof off, call his girlfriend for long periods of time and just disappear for little bits at a time. In the end we had customers that didn’t like him and they said he didn’t work and acted more like a supervisor lol! Long story short he my boss let him quit after the summer and now he’s a lot more mature because of it but he still had growing to do

    I would not hire your bother as a peer. It seems really unfair to you. Certainly, there will be a probation period before the hiire is considered a regular hire. Probation being a 3 month period where either party can quit the arrangement with no penalties.

  • @USMC6976
    @USMC6976 3 месяца назад +1

    "Future partner" is a big assumption. The brother is getting the position from Dad. He doesn't get a say in the hiring of his brother. And he's really going to be shocked when they give his brother a partnership at the same time they give him his. This is probably how dad is passing on his estate to the sons.
    The problem the 2nd caller is having, is not unique among companies that hire a lot of young people. The young person's lack of experience works against him. You may be the best company in the world, the best boss, but the newly hired individual that is new to the work force has nothing to tell him he's already got the best job in his field with the best company.
