I watched this show as a child and thought her entrances were the height of glamour and beauty. When I lived in an apartment with similar doors in my 20s, I sometimes made similar “entrances.” Of course, I lacked the star’s grace, beauty, and wardrobe, so it didn’t have the same effect. :-D

What a wardrobe and what a lady. This is literally "making a big entrance." Very few people can carry that off successfully.

Even back then I found these entrances kind of annoying. So pretentious .
