I think the baby is riq's because that makes the most logical sense from a writing perspective. Having a story line where salim is the father is pointless because he wasn't a major character plus it's the last season. If book two had more seasons then maybe I could see them doing a "who's the baby father" storyline but considering the show is ending I don't see the writers wasting time on that type of thing. Plus with tariq having a baby with Diana, diana officially becomes "tasha" & Lauren officially becomes "angela" especially since lauren left. So I could see a Tariq, Diana, Lauren love triangle plalying out in a new show if all these characters survive this current season.
The only reason why I think the baby could be Riq’s is because Tasha could die at some point, so that would be a new reason for him to keep pushing and his story “won’t end”. The baby being Salim’s would be so anticlimactic and so pointless. If the writers go in that direction, I would be so disappointed. If that baby is actually Riq’s, it could add a layer of drama for Effie, Diana and Riq…even the Tejadas for the rest of the season. I think this arc is more than filler.
