Is mocking & being sarcastic while simply criticising necessary?
You're making your followers forget the 99% good the Imaams like Nouman Ali Khan do by just going on & on about their one mistake.

I criticize some statements from Nouman Ali Khan in the latest reaction video, but I also acknowledge in the same video that I respect NAK for his Arabic instruction program and how he has inspired millions to learn Arabic in order to connect with the Quran. His program is innovative and I appreciate the ingenuity. This is a major service he has done for the Umma.
I also distinguish NAK from other Compassionate Imams in that he does not try to cash in on cheap political participation. He doesn't march with the rainbow flag, have iftar with the turban hijabis, or shake hands with head zionists, etc. He could easily do that in the same way that others do, but he doesn't. He does not betray the Umma in the way that others regularly do.
This appreciation does not prevent us from criticizing problematic statements NAK has made in his lectures and ideas he has promoted. Sadly, he has flirted with the ideas of certain reformists and modernists and injected them into an otherwise positive message. We need to push back on this.
As I always offer with those I criticize, I am happy to host NAK on this channel to give him the chance to defend his statements and/or clarify.

Please also look at his comments on Homosexuality and request him to clarify - I respect Ustadh Nouman alot but the comments on Homosexuality are the most dangerous ideas spread amongst the youth. It's extremely nuanced and will need a project run by Muslim Skeptic. Please have a look at this for the sake of Allah. You don't have any contact details so I don't how to convey the message to you as to exactly what the problem is. Please look at the ayat of Lut as and how he explains them, it's almost microscopic and the ordinary layman or Iman even won't catch it. Only when you've studied post-modernist ideas would you be able to identify it.

As an American convert to Islam of 30 years, one of the biggest problems facing Muslims here, in my opinion, is the American attitude of "No one can tell me anything". What I mean is that everyone wants to be their own A'alim or sheikh, or Imam, everyone is a murshid and no one wants to be a murid. Traditionally, contrary to our modern popular belief, their has always been a hierarchy when it comes to Islamic knowledge and scholarship. Not just anyone could give lectures or halqaat, or teach. This is reason for the system of ijaazah and the concept of isnad. As Imam ibn Mubarak رحمه الله said:
"الإسناد من الدين، لو لا الإسناد لقال من شاء على ما شاء"
"The isnaad is a part of the Deen. Were it not for the isnaad, anyone who wishes, would say what he likes".
It has become fashionable for "everyone and their grandmother" to give fataawa and to give their opinion on even the most complex issues in the Deen.
These western appeasing "scholars" and "Imams" are exactly what the enemies of Islam want. They know they can't outright eliminate Islam and the Muslims, so distort the teachings of the Deen to the point that even the basic usool and foundations are at risk of being obliterated.
    اللهم احفظ المسلمين

    • @LITTLE-ROCK
      @LITTLE-ROCK Год назад +6

A reason for that may be the rejection of the traditional sunni islam promoted by saudis since early 1980s. This version of the deen allows every muslim who knows a few verses and a few ahadith to criticize or go against even mujtahid scholars.

    • @alchemistbrotv1707
      @alchemistbrotv1707 Год назад +3

@@AA123TD this is unrealistic. You can go any place and you will find some issue with speakers, or how governments and societies operate, etc. you want to degrade Muslims living in western countries, but look at the condition of our own Ummah. Muslims will need to practice Islam in west and in east, telling Muslims to leave will not be practical for most, especially since you can freely practice Islam in most places and in west there are masjids now. And you paint a bad stigma now on western Muslims, when you already know that many problems affect Muslim communities everywhere, and it is not just for you to say something like this

    • @aliabdussalaam2260
      @aliabdussalaam2260 Год назад +6

@@servantoftheexpander9688 Yes, this is the case. It's not only the problem of the youth though. Traditionally, seeking علم took great effort. Islamic history is full of cases where طلاب العلم would travel thousands of miles for knowledge, and these students would learn humility in front of their teachers. They knew that the purpose of acquiring the knowledge of Deen was not to prance around, make a name for themselves, and to belittle others. Besides studying the texts, they also learned humility and when to say they don't know.

All in all, I am with any constructive criticism but let's not throw the important work and influential wisdom learnt from this amazing guy. May Allah bless him and you and all Muslims.

Edit : REMINDER to myself firstly and also to my dearest fellow muslims.
Remember, regardless of disagreements and differences in opinion, always think kindly of our fellow muslims, firstly and foremost.
Brother Nouman has done so much for Islam, perhaps worth more than I ever could in several lifetimes. His work, with Allah's Will and Permission, especially with regards to literary magnificence of the Quran is exemplary service to Allah and His Religion, insha Allah!
As muslims, we may disagree or differ in some areas, refrain from thinking that he did it with malicious intent. Perhaps he was sincerely mistaken, perhaps we are the ones who are mistaken. It is natural to hold a different opinion, even the closests of friends and loved ones, we have disagreements. That is normal and healthy.
If I have ever thought wrongly of our Brother Nouman, or implied unjustly, whether knowingly or unintentionally, I pray to Allah by His Mercy and His Magnificence that are incomparable, that He forgives our brothers' mistakes and his past sins, increases his reward in this life, in the grave and in the HereAfter for all the good deeds and sacrifices he has endured to spread Islam in the best way he knows how.
I pray and beg the same for Brother Daniel and to my dearest fellow Ummah as well, especially those who fought to uphold the truth of our Religion in the manner we think the best.
May Allah straighten our path towards Him and His Worship, by His Grand Mercy without comparison, forgives us for our negligence, transgressions and our mistakes, be it both intentional or unintentional.
May Allah increase the love and peace we have among each other as dearest muslims, for we are all desperate for His Approval, His Blessings and His Love, without which, we are worth less than dust.
Allahu Allahu Allahu! Ya Allah, forgive us in our imperfections of our worship and service to You, Ya Allah, we beg you to save us from Your Righteous Anger and Your Divine Wrath, for without Your Mercy, who is there to help us, Your meek and ignorant slaves except by Your Incomparable Forgiveness, Ya Allah Ya Allah Ya Allah!

Why does Islam attract more converts than any other religion? One major reason is that Islam says: "Refugees welcome" to those fleeing failing liberal social and religious institutions.
      Let me explain.
Liberal secularists promote the idea that their norms for regulating marriage, family, and religion are ideal.
Nevertheless, statistical data indicates that wherever a society is governed by liberal secular norms, people stop marrying, having children, and practising religion.
Put differently, the liberal is fundamentally a hypocrite - despite what he or she might say, no liberal person is actually interested in being part of a liberal marriage, a liberal family, or a liberal religion.
Matters are different when it comes to Islam.
Muslims also promote the idea that their norms for regulating marriage, family, and religion are ideal.
Moreover, statistical data indicates that wherever a society is governed by Islamic norms, it boosts marriage, birth rate, and religious practice.
Put differently, the Muslim is actually interested in being part of a Muslim marriage, a Muslim family, and the Muslim religion.
The current era is an era of refugees fleeing from liberalism. Liberal marriage, family, and religion have collapsed.
As a result, refugees from liberal societies seek marriage partners abroad, and if they practice any type of religion , it is a non-liberal version whose centers are located abroad. Islam is the most obvious choice for them.

That's just a horrible thing to say to a woman. Why could he not approach it with care like the Prophet (saw) would?"
      ****** ****** ******
Oh no! Are women's feelings hurt?!!! Are they going to cry?!!! Oh heavens, noo! ANYthing but that!!! Nooooooooo!!!!!!
You're right. We should approach things with care like the Prophet ﷺ, like when he said, "Women are the majority in hell," and, "I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you (women)."

Its ridiculous to believe that these are the entire truth, this is just how Daniel views women and he's quite misogynistic in his views and supports his views culturally. Islam is vast to support different views in cultural dynamics, and mr daniel puts irrational fatwas on everyone and wants everyone to live in the utopia created by his own mind.

@@Jorjina.hayatt Allah says in the Quran:
“Thus righteous women are obedient and guard the rights of men in their absence under Allah's protection” (4:34)
It was said to Sayyida 'A'isha :
"Which type of woman is best? She said: “The woman who does not speak evil, is not tricked by the machinations of men, and whose heart is free of all but pleasing her husband and taking care of her family.
      (Ibn Hanbal, Musnad 2:251; al-Raghib al-Isfahāni, Muhadarat 2:222)
      The Messenger of Allah said:
"If a woman prays her five prayers, fasts her month of Ramadan, guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, she will enter Paradise from any gate she wishes."
      (Source: Sahth In Hibban 4252)
The Prophet (peace be on him) said:
“The best wife is she who, if you look at her, will please you; who, if you bid her to do something, will obey; and who will safeguard herself and your property in your absence”
(Cited by Ibn Kathir, and reported by Tabari and Ibn Abi Hatim)
The Prophet says in a hadith:
“If I were to command any to prostrate to other than Allāh, I would command the woman to prostrate to her husband”

[Aĥmad, Ĥākim, Tabarānī, Bayhaqī]
      The Messenger of Allah says:
“Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. A woman is the guardian of her husband’s home and his children and she is responsible for them”
      (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 7138, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1829)
Ibn Kathir writes in the explanation of this ayah (4:34):
“righteous women (are Qanitat), obedient to their husbands, as Ibn `Abbas and others stated”
      Allah says in the Quran:
“And stay in your homes and do not go about displaying your allurements as in the former Time of Ignorance” (33:33)
In the interpretation of the same ayah (33:33) there is a hadith which states:
“The women made a submission to the Prophet (peace be upon him), saying: All kinds of virtues have been secured by the men: they fight and accomplish great deeds in the way of Allah. What should we do that we may also get a reward equal to that of the warriors? The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: The one who sits in her house from among you; will attain the reward of the warriors.”
(Hafiz Abu Bakr Bazzar has related on the authority of Anas)
Another hadith explaining this ayah (33:33) states:
“The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Woman is ‘awrah (that which must be concealed), and when she goes out the Shaytaan’s hopes are raised. She is never closer to Allaah than in the inner part of her house”
(Bazzar and Tirmidhi have related on the authority of Abdullah bin Masud)
Mujahid writes about this ayah (33:33):
“Women used to go out walking in front of men, and this was the Tabarruj of Jahiliyya”
Ibn Kathir (Shaf’i) writes about this ayah (33:33):
“These are the good manners which Allah enjoined upon the wives of the Prophet so that they would be an example for the women of the Ummah to follow”
Abu Bakr al-Jassas (Hanafi) writes in the explanation of this ayah (33:33):
“And this verse (33:33) proves that women are commanded to stay in their homes and forbidden from going out of them”
Imam al-Qurtubi (Maliki) writes in the explanation of this ayah (33:33):
“The meaning of this verse is that women are commanded to try remain in their homes, and while the wives of the Prophet ﷺ are addressed, other women are also included in its meaning”
Al-Aloosi (Shafi'i\Hanafi) writes in the explanation of this ayah (33:33):
“They (the wives of the Prophet ﷺ) have been commanded to remain in their homes and this is also required from all other women”

This massive discrepancy exists despite the fact that there is no gender bias in the law favouring females.
Whether you like it or not, the welfare system forces you as a man to pay for single women, many of whom, as you know, are degenerates.
Without welfare and all kinds of affirmative action promoting women in the workplace, women can't support themselves. The feminist welfare state just distributes the burden of taking care of women to all working men. So you, as a man, have the burden of financially supporting these women without any benefit in return, women who will berate you and call you an incel if you disagree with how stunning and brave they are.
Basically, Western liberalism forces you as a man to fund the lifestyle of women drinking, sleeping around with a new man every night, popping anti depressants like candy, going to the womens march on weekends to whine about how oppressed they are. You're literally subsidizing all that.
Women being free is not free. Someone has to foot the bill.
Islam says no. No one gets a free ride. You want to be taken care of. You have to be in a marriage as an obedient wife. And if you dont want to be an obedient wife, go be a burden on your father, who didn't raise you right. And if you don't want to live under your father's roof, go live in the wilderness or beg on the streets. See how long you last there.

I watched this video when it was released and felt the same thing that Nauman ali Khan is very influenced by Western values and feminism.
He is great in Arabic teaching and quran translation. He has a charming personality and beautiful way of teaching. We should benefit from his work But dont think if him as a authority on Quranic understanding.
I recently attended his Quran week in Sydney. It was great from quranic language perspective but at few occasions his comments reflects that he dont like separation between men and women.
Women specially young ladies were acting like he is celebrity and getting his autographs like crazy. I am sure none of them would do the same with a more mature religious scholar.

For all of those who think it is ideal if Muslim women are not financially dependent on men:
Would it be ideal if Muslim men were not sexually dependent on their women? For example, would it be ideal if men could purchase (at low cost) harems of docile life-like forever-young sex robots?
How would you respond to Muslim men who justified this by saying such robots are necessary to give men true independence, such that they are not forced to stay in relationships with women who are rude, jealous, controlling, manipulative, fat, old, or ugly?
How would you respond to Muslim men who said that Muslim women need to "step up their game" such that men choose to be with them instead of a robot that is more friendly, beautiful, young, and thin?
The cop out answer is to say sex robots are haram, but there are other conceivable halal alternatives that would do the same thing: flood men with cheap alternatives. Obviously, such alternatives would weaken and ultimately destroy marriage because it takes away the dependence that men have on women for sex.
But that is literally what giving women financial independence does; it makes them independent from men. And that's why no society or religion ever did give women that independence, except for our current dystopia.

As a huge fan of Nouman Ali Khan, the title and introduction made me uncomfortable. Even the idea that women should stay home and can't engage in public duties itself is against my point of view. It was hard for my heart to navigate through the video as I didn't want to believe in this.
Most of us were influenced by western ideologies since we were child through cartoons and movies. Unfortunately, we might have views that are against Islam. Now, some of the Islamic teachings may be hard to grasp or accept. But as muslims, we should all be ready to find, accept and understand the truth despite our own worldview (which is incomplete). We should study our deen and try to understand it best.
After analyzing deeper and weighting arguments of both, it's clear to me that islamically Nouman Ali Khan's arguments are incomplete and Daniel Haqiqatjou provided strong evidences.

The truth is that men and women mixing themselves at work is very recent even in western societies. They really want to make us believe that this modern social engineering was just about freedom and equality and whatever, and that all those things are good : they're a disaster. Almost every major problem we have right now is because of this and I hate when muslim "speachers" try to enforce it to other muslims like they were enlightened and want to enlight the ignorant.

Those ayat are very clearly about the wives of the prophet. YES, other muslim women should model themseleves after them just like men should model after the prophet pbuh and sahaba, BUT, and here lies the actual issue, it is not A SIN that they don't.
It is not a sin for anyone not to model themselves after the best of creation if they are not sinning. Calling something haram that Allah did not forbid is a horrible thing to do, and even the prophet pbuh wasn't allowed to do that.

I wonder whats NAK's opinions about women being second wife ? Can he really does a video about on that issue as well ? If he is really "honest" about himself lets see if he can does a video that promotes there is nothing wrong about being the second wife in Islam ? I believe 90% of muslim women, even if they wear hijab, will not like it and try to manipulate the subject. And since the guys like NAK's knows that, they will never do a video on this issue. We know what their agenda is and the biggest harm comes from the ones like NAK. You may not aware of it but, the biggest problem in ummah is the women mindset which is heavily brain washed by feminisim. I am a divorced brother of yours. And the only reason that I divorced my wife is that she wants to the become her own leader, and she did not obey me. And it was perfectly ok for her to not to obey me. Why? Because of the people like NAK who either has no idea what he is doing or who has a hidden agenda. The idea that they are trying to sell will destroy marriages and consequently reduce birth rates. As you can see, you dont need weapons. Sometimes all you need is a celebrity imam to inject the poison and watch your enemy dies slowly. And again; I cant thank you enough DAniel. You are the only one who is fighting against these people. I really appriciate the your effort to make people understand how vital the issue is. Jazakallah Khair.

i was about to marry a girl. At the start, if she wanted to go places and I was uncomfortable, she wouldn't go. We were happy. Then, she started to argue with me. Because i loved her, i gave up on these views and thought maybe I'm wrong, she should be able to do as she pleases and i am being controlling. What then happened was she began to resent me, as i wasn't her guardian anymore and not acting like a man. She then cheated on me. His point as 32:00 minutes is true. I have experienced it.
Edit: Balance is key, and I don't recommend enforcing these ideas in a harmful or arrogant way. Just be sure of yourself and be dominant, and be prepared to walk away. Always be kind even in these situations and explain in an assured manner.
Also, even though I kept this relationship "halal" and had purely the intention of marriage, I still would never recommend having a partner when you cannot get married within a short period.
Being in a relationship is HARAM for a reason. Its common now, but don't fall into the trap like I did.

Salamun alaykum Dear Brother Daniel. Muslims making videos against other Muslims (who dont agree with some of your opinions) I belive is unnecessary and wrong. I didn't recall anything wrong with what he (Ali Khan)said. And also mocking him and laughing at him! This is not what Allah swt commanded us to do. He is your brother in Islam, and if he has said or done somthing wrong, then contact him and talk to him in a respectful way. In Islam we are taught to do to our brother what we would want for ourselves. Think for a seccond would the Prophet pbuh react to him the same way you did? The Shaitan wants us to divide so that he can be stronger over us. Do you think that us Muslims making videos against eachother, (by mocking, ridiculing, laughing at eachother,) is ever going to bring us closer to Islam? No, it will never, and it will just divide us even more. So Please, for Allah's sake, stop making videos ridiculing, laughing, mocking, other Muslims. If they did somthing wrong publicly, then make a video correcting him RESPECTFULLY. And if he did it in private, then correct him privately RESPECTFULLY. May Allah swt guide us all, and unite us like we were before.

If you were really interested in NAK's views and wanted to debate him, you would contact him and sit down like a grown up and have a debate. Then upload the debate on RUclips, fine no problem, have some views. Brother Nak is not fooling anyone, he clearly mentions he is NOT a scholar and he only teaches from his own understanding of the language of Arabic. Anyway, grow up and just debate him, simple.

yes, certain civil servants posts are a big thing here. They get big houses and servants and they head specific departments :) my parents are ( and many parents as they are obsessed with making their children civil servants) asking to prepare for its exam but I don't like these things. but I understand why parents want their daughters to have these jobs. these jobs provide security that unfortunately, some husbands don't. Daniel, you have to understand our culture its really really bad. Our family culture. I am a woman 26 and unmarried not by choice necessarily. all my friends who are married are treated like trash by their in-laws and their husbands silently watch all that. One of my friends had to get a job only to afford a servant for herself because her husband refused to get her one. she is sick and that makes it difficult for her to take care of all her in-laws. The physical work was hard for her. now she has a small job enough to take her away from her in-laws and to pay a servant who helps her with the chores. Women are treated literally like trash sometimes so our parents try their best to educate us and make us capable of jobs, in times of need.

I would advise you one thing ( as you aren't married) please learn Islam and understand it and then if you ever had a proposal of any guy, probe his deen please. Mostly Men are cowards and they will never stand against culture just like women and that's why they will never ever protect their wives from the zulm of in laws. Do have a session in presence of your Mahram with that person and try to figure out his thought process where it's coming from or you can make a questionnaire and give it to your brother so he can ask on your behalf
( Obviously in our culture this thing is considered Haram, we have to educate our parents about this)
You should stand against this Hindu driven Jahez culture, the baraat culture, flashy marriage culture, have big amount of Mahr ( as in pakistan, susral considers this a huge insult اعوذ باللہ) and most of the guys will fail this simple litmus testing.
Be very careful in selecting your spouse but first work on your self to be a صالح مومنہ and then make dua after every prayer
      رب یسرلی جلیسا صالحا
اللہم انی اسئلک زوجا صالحا فی الدنیا والاخرۃ
And after making a decision do Istikhara
And May Allah make us Saleeh and may we all be blessed with the Salih spouses Ameen sumaa Ameen ya rab Al almeen.

Growing up as Western minded and English speaking, I was more inclined to western imams because of common language and that they presented Islam in common with Western values.
Now that I’m matured, I know realise the wisdom of Islam not being align with western values due to its godlessness, evil and degenerate ways. This shift is largely due to Muslim Skeptic and Daniel, now I’m learning my deen by qualified scholars (in my area).
Those who grow up like me should let go of the Western baggage and inferiority complex we held. We’ll just end up shooting ourselves in the foot.

Every place and time has its people to bring sharia into understanding, application, etc. you paint western values with a broad brush of immorality, but do not forget there are many virtues in western societies also. And Muslims who live in the west and grow up there, it is their country, they have to practice Islam there, deal with unique circumstances. Closing your eyes to pretend East is perfect is just being ignorant to the problem. Islam finds its home in any place, it is the abode of believers. May Allah guide us to what is better,

    • @alchemistbrotv1707
      @alchemistbrotv1707 Год назад

@Jack Birdie could y please show me then? Maybe I am coming from a different place, I realize having visited East and also being from the West, I realized “western” is a mindset and so many things I always saw people maligning us for things like living our lives as Muslims in a western country. I kept seeing things like western society is corrupt, and that it is no place for Muslims…. But now I realized that Muslims must be able to spread Islam, and that so much of the characterization of the west is based on stereotypes. Just like westerners make a whole fake image of the East as violent, backwards, etc… similarly, easterners come with this idea as west being all decayed and degenerate… there is specks of truth in this… but I realized the real fight is between truth and falsehood. And there is a lot of good in the West also, so do not discount it. Do not make the Muslim in the west feel like he can never belong anywhere… he must feel he is part of society to steer it towards Islam. Of course, all Muslims in this dunya are strangers. But I am tired of seeing so much outright misrepresentation of what it is like to be in a western country. No doubt western countries have a lot of evil and their governments also… but please consider that we are all part of societies, peoples, etc. To tell us we cannot live in a place where we can practice our religion and spread it, to deny us any useful perspective because of our location and society, it really stifles us.

@Jack Birdie ok thanks. But where is kufr being viewed as virtue? I am saying there is also lots of things like honesty, fairness, accountability, good manners and behavior when people deal with each other, there is a lot of this to be found also in West.

    • @alchemistbrotv1707
      @alchemistbrotv1707 Год назад

@Jack Birdie you are wrong in a way. If you travel to Muslim countries like Pakistan, Saudi even, others, etc. you will find cruelties and dishonesties and scams that will make you wonder, where is the Islam in this place. It is not all about materialism only in West, although this is a major criticism of western countries. Truth is materialism has permeated most countries, and sometimes ideologies show their worst face in Eastern countries. One example I will give you, how fellow Muslim laborers are often treated in gulf countries (many stories) and paradoxically western citizens get upgraded treatment based on passport!!! Of course Allah swt gives people tests whom he loves, but the lack of akhlaaq and completely missing the message of the Prophet saws that is found in some places makes one so sad. And by the way, I am not the first person to make such observations. At least, for example, western countries have a more fair and transparent process of courts, justice, employee benefits, the people do not discriminate on nationality outright for a pay basis!!! (See some gulf places), and many more individual examples of honesty present in society. These are praiseworthy virtues in these societies, similar how the Prophet saws spoke about the virtues of Quraish conduct, even though ofc they were disbelievers.
