Hey! Thanks for watching! Since you’ve been to Le Blanc we’d recommend trying Unico over Akumal. Akumal has a better beach but we feel the food is better at Unico. Unico is closer to Le Blanc standards than Akumal is. Unico will price out higher than Akumal but you get that back with the food, hand crafted beverages (they were of the best we had at any all inclusive), and service! Hope this helps! Hey William!! No, it’s not required but it’s not a bad idea to get tested before you leave, as you will have to get tested before returning back to the U.S. per CDC guidelines, so making sure you’re negative before leaving the U.S. can help ensure a smooth trip!
Hi!!! It was about $250/night for the upgrade, we stayed Nov. 15th - 18th! The lead in category room was actually big and spacious with a nice soaking tub, the upgrade was amazing though too!
Hey Jon! We do like them both a lot, Le Blanc would definitely be our preference, however Le Blanc will be priced higher than Akumal. If it’s in the budget, go with Le Blanc, if not Akumal is an amazing value. Can’t go wrong with either!

Did you guys ever release a current ranking of your favorite resorts and destinations? My wife and I just found your channel and watched your videos all night.
@@jond.6593 We’ve talked about it on the podcast a few times. The only challenging part with ranking is often the destinations can be so different from the Caribbean, to the east and west coast of Mexico. They can all offer something unique that make a resort worth visiting. Just speaking on the resort only, taking the destination out of it, Le Blanc is up there with the best! I’d put it in our top tier of all all-inclusives. Sandals Grenada is also up there as well, along with a few others. They are hard to rank at times.
Wished you would’ve showed what the non preferred room looked like. I’ve stayed here several times always in a preferred rooms never in a standard room, would’ve like to see the difference between a regular room vs preferred.

Hi! The suite we had for the 2nd half of time stay had a half bath in the living room area along with the beautiful main bathroom off the master!
Can you compare Akumal to Unico? We have stayed at Le Blanc and now afraid we are too spoiled to go anywhere else but these two look lovely.

Did the Mosquitoes bother you?
Hi Frank! No, they didn’t seem bad at all, we did bring some mosquito spray just in case but I don’t think we ever used it.
