It's called harmonics, and he added some bass as well
They’re often called “Cascading harmonics”. Chet Atkins popularized them, and the technique has been adopted by many modern players. The way it works is you finger a note or hit an open string, then lightly place a finger 12 frets higher and pluck with the right hand at the same time. It’s not too ridiculous, but definitely takes some practice to get down.
