- This's Part 1 of 2, Composite Deck Build, 'Start to Finish Series'. The materials used on this project is the Client's choice (Composite Flooring and Wood Railing). It was also the Client's choice not to rebuild the existing deck. Only hired to build the new deck and join it to the existing.

That is smart........Lowe's does things Home Depot wouldn't do.....loading that trailer that way is certainly more efficient, at HD managers would be: No, no can't do it that way......meanwhile I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for someone to load the thing on the trailer.

When I built decks I used the same plan for all the bracing and posts..2 x12,2x10,6x6 is all I used for the under deck...my decks could support 30 people

Where can i learn to pick up this trade? I always wanted to learn how to build like this
@cassidy993 Most Trade Schools (some go by Vocational School or Technical School ) offer Carpentry or construction courses which may include decking, Framing etc). Alternatively you can always work with an experienced builder for onsite training., which you may start off as a Helper.

What's the work of that black strip nylon tape? Could it be that thing that prevents moisture like DPC?
@zablonobengo9485 it's a flashing tape for exterior applications..you can use it on decks and doors/ windows flashing. Stops the water from settling between sandwiched boards. I don't use it on single boards.

Did you create the design or the customer?
The customer explained to me what they wanted but it's my design,.. the drawings. I always do my own plan drawings for Permitting.

@user-gd9rj4cz4o was on the project about 2 weeks but did the whole project in about 6 full days..after a few days of bad weather,, rained alot.

@Gokywildcats11 Joist Tape. You can also use most of the window & door flashing tapes which may be cheaper and in a wider varieties of sizes than the actual Joist tape.
I know this probably took a week or a month to build, but over an hour of video… not entertaining without any narrative or tips or how to…constructive criticism here, break it up in segments more views and clicks unless you just wanted to document this for yourself.
@joesmith3829 the time-stamped sections makes it easier to jump to whichever section you wonna watch, easier than breaking up the video just to make it shorter. Most people find the video useful. All voluntary to watch.

THAT 1ST BOARD THEY PUT UP WILL BE HOME FOR TERMITES GOING IN AND OUT THE FOUNDATION NOW THE HAVE A STAGING AREA
@amesornish1232 first of all.. them anchor bolts don't go all the way through the foundation into the house.. these are sleeve anchor bolts. 2nd, there's no termites. It's termite treated. That first board,, is the Ledger Board.
