I'm a medical nerd from my years working as a vet tech. Besides using syringes to water tiny plants, they are great to suck out lotion/shampoo etc. from a big bottle and used to refill small travel size containers that have small openings.
My grandpa had a phrase that I loved. “Why stand when you can sit? Why sit when you can lay?” He was such a hard working man, and truly believed that you rest as hard as you work. ❤️
Hi Kim 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….
My friend's Mother in law, suffering from low level dementia, moved in with her family last year during the pandemic. Her husband setup an electronic pill dispenser (don't know the brand) and raves about the device. She said the best part was not worrying about mil taking too many pills or missing a dose. Also, having an alert setup relieves their stress.

I just got a Hero about a month ago and I LOVE it! It’s so easy to use and really helps me stay on track with my meds. I have more than 10 meds, but I love that it reminds you to take the outside meds too.
I have a med machine that you load little plastic cups with my meds in and program it for what time it goes off, "Time it take your medication, please press button to dispense!...thank you" I named it Harriet. So handy!
I got HERO for my mom and son too. My mom's is super loud when it dispenses but it really is nice. We put the prescription only meds in the machine and put the vitamins on the hero alarm reminder because she has too many to fit all in the HERO. We like that my sisters and I can all check to see if meds were taken. By the way....for my disabled son who has a medical assistance waiver, they pay the monthly subscription, and the initial fee. It allows him to be more independent ( I help set them up).
I also have Cystic Fibrosis. The Hero system seems cool, but the only medication I take in pill form is trikafta, so it wouldn't quite work for me. But it does seem really cool 😊

Thanks for brining the Hero to our attention and the promo code. I signed Shelby up for her own today as this will really enable her to much more independent with her medications without having to bring each bottle to me at med time to see if its one she should be taking or not. At one time it was pretty simple as everything was taken twice a day, but with a few complication that have arisen the year she now has a few new ones but they are once a day medications and she gets confused as to when to take those. She also has IV meds that need to be given several time a day and the app should be helpful on that score
i had the hero for a month. i didn’t really like it. plus how you pay for it but never own it. just wasn’t for me. but i could definitely see where it would help others.
Thank you for sharing your experience! I totally agree, there are some scenarios where I think it could bring a lot of peace of mind. Appreciate you sharing Jaclyn!
Yes! I live off ssdi and less than. $800 a month for expenses and I could not afford that. Maybe if it was $30 a month for idk several months and then you own it, but indefinite $30 a month is too much forever
Mary, maybe if they ask for feedback an idea would be that for people on disability it is like $10 a month instead of $30? Or make it where insurances cover its costs? I don’t know how all of that works but I would think maybe they could have different levels of pricing depending on a persons income or if they are on disability or not.
Wow, when you mentioned your friend and the quote "Don't just do something, sit there", my ears perked up. I have a book with that same title, by Sylvia Boorstein published in 1996. There is an Adirondack chair on the front and it came with a keychain of an Adirondack chair. And regarding Harry reminding you to sit still sometimes, it reminded me of when I moved into my current house. I was SOOO busy cleaning, unpacking etc that I literally never sat down for several days. My cat at the time adored lap time and I was neglecting that...it just wasn't on the agenda.😕 One day I noticed how perplexed she was by my behavior and she seemed needy. Well duh! Of COURSE she was needy. Poor baby was accustomed to having lap snuggles and she'd been deprived. So even though I still had much to do, I made sure to take time to sit a few times during each day so we could have our sweet bonding time. Animals really do remind us of what's important.❤🐾
So, I have been watching your videos for a couple of years now. I started because I was looking at getting my meds infused at home. We got a dog recently, and she would run at the tv and bark when I watched your videos. Turns out, she wants to play with Ollie. Lol She loves watching your videos.

Shabbat Shalom guys! We had another birdy feeding frenzy in our garden today. They’ve eaten all our bird seed this week! Thankfully I still have some mealworms for tomorrow. In other news, my COVID test that the national research app asked me to do was negative, which is what we’d prayed for and my Dad (he’s 85) told me he “expected” of me. The weird symptoms I’m experiencing are either side effects or a nasty bout of “hay” fever from our local birch and beech trees. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Ohhh my my goodness! What a brilliant idea with HERO. Thank you so much for sharing this. My daughter is 24 and takes over 10 meds at different times of the day. Having POTS she is usually foggy brained and this is perfect for some med independence. I am so excited, she would be too but after a Dr visit she sleeps for hours. Also, I recently watched your G tube post and it was informative. Not ready to go down that road yet, 2 more options before this but I now know what to expect for her. Again, thank you 😊
I have been watching y’all for years but have never commented. I just want to say, I am so incredibly happy for the blessing God has given you with the medication. Watching you now versus a few years ago...I’m just beyond thankful for God’s blessings and how he has had his hand on you guys. I’m getting baptized this Sunday for the second time...a believers baptism. I used to watch you guys and think man, their faith and life is so strong and I didn’t know what that felt like. I have a relationship with Him now and I can see what He’s doing in your life and my life and I’m just so thankful. I’m so so happy to see you walking around your garden and living life. God bless you both.
I work in the community with people with autism and this device would be amazing to use for my supports. I think this would be amazing for group homes, less med errors and quicker med dispensing without worrying you missed something. I will be bringing this machine up to my team and see what they think! So glad you made this video! I would love to use this myself but I dont have an overload of meds at the moment. So cool!
Last couple of days a northern flicker (type of woodpecker) has been coming and pecking the grass looking for grubs we believe! I’ve never seen them before was fun to watch! That robot seems cool but a monthly subscription doesn’t. They should have an option where you can just buy it!
I think the hero is a great medical tool. I'm a care giver and I work with people who suffer from Altimers and dementia. It would really be a big help for the patients who have memory issues. Thanks Frey Life for sponsoring the hero it's really going to change peoples lives.
They specifically say that it is not designed for those uses, in cases that would require that level of care a machine simply cant replace human interaction. Now mild forgetfulness or difficulty in managing multiple medications or not remembering to take them on time, that is a different story. It is FDA approved but not for everything.
The teenager's part: SO TRUE!! We struggled a lot with my siblings, and still struggle with one of them who forgets a lot of hers. We are going to try a system with alarms in her phone, this way she is the one remembering herself and maybe it will work for her. But she only takes 3 (even tho she mistakes sometimes), so for people with more medications or with vision problems/mobility problems, it looks very nice!
So since it can run from our smart phone, can say a daughter from out of state dispense her mom’s medication, also check to be sure she is doing so herself as well? This can be very convenient for some, I agree. Thanks for sharing. Love you all xo Oh, I wanted to tell you both how awesome you are! You are so good to other’s. It’s the way we all should be. :) ✌🏻
I want to share with you an idea ( learned from someone else) birds and ground animals will love to eat your garden has it grow. By placing a chimney glass ( used in lamps) over the new plants, it keeps the animal away. Just a thought.
I just ordered mine. I’m so happy they say it’s perfect for people who are blind or low vision I hate FaceTiming my mom every morning to see if I’m taking the right meds.
I think there's a way to get braille on them as well. but my friend usually gets raised stickers so she can feel what pills she is taking. she traces the letters on the top of the bottle.
@12:26 Our lovely friendly pansies do not like full sun. They like a shady place to bury their feet into and maybe a little bit of sun peaking through. They love to be dead-headed (where you pinch off the dead bloom at the base of the plant). Instead of pansies for color you could always grow nasturtiums which love full sun and are easily grown from seed.
Although I love eating the popsicles, you could go to the dollar store and get the popsicle sticks they have there for $ 1.00...may be a bag of 50 or more.
I need your help! Can you tell me what type of Port-A-Cath kit you have? I’d like to have my doctor duplicated what you use, but I can’t even access these medical device websites. Please help, I have no port support.
You should have Peter put a wood seal on your garden markers after you write the name on them so that the wood doesn’t crack and the words don’t fade. 🤔😊

So here's my question. If you want/need help in managing medications, you're probably taking more than 10 prescriptions. Are they working on making a model that can handle maybe 15-20 scripts?
How does hero handle dosing meds when you aren’t at home? I often work shifts that overlap my meds times. I overcome this by keeping meds with me at work. Can you manually put in a taken dose if hero has not dispensed it? It sounds like a neat device. I wanna know more.
Without reading the description - my first thought was that you had a new coffee machine... being serious it's yet another advancement in helpful technology - next up you need to get Google (or Alexa) to order your prescriptions for delivery, I'm sure Peter can work on the programming
I’m still trying to understand how this is a monthly subscription. Is the equipment free in lieu of a monthly payment? Sound like a rip-off. Sell the darn equipment and app and that should be it. If it’s connected the info is available in the web for free. The rest is just programming for the dispense schedule. Sorry but no.
@@nicholaslandolina uhh you do know that ssdi is disability, right? If you’re joking then yes, the government thinks we should live 30% below the poverty line
It’s great for Alzheimer’s patients who forget to take their medications. I thought about this for my husband but the monthly cost did deter me. If they could get that down to$20 per month I think I’d do it.
For all my medical nerd buddies out there :)
so smart
I'm legally blind, this will be great for me!
What do you mean?
Lol, Mary, that look on your face is hilarious!
It kind of reminds me of how the Dexcom is app connected
I think you should make a T-shirt that says “Today is a good day to have a good day!”
Oh my goodness gracious yes
I would buy that shirt😏 lol😂

So I had no clue how cheap this thing was. Dang. I thought it would be like 200 bucks. Maybe ill get it for my mom for a gift.

It’s great for Alzheimer’s patients who forget to take their medications. I thought about this for my husband but the monthly cost did deter me. If they could get that down to$20 per month I think I’d do it.
so cool..
Could you remind me of the app for recording medical appointments?
It’s called Abridge
I thought you were greta thunberg, lmao
