The entire phrase is, “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb”. Which means that comrades of war form thicker bonds than family. So the line is talking about the literal misconstrual of the phrase and the blurry line between family and friends.

"glorified mixtape" as tyler's said. the vessel version fits with the vibe of the album as well. it's just a lot more raw which fits with a lot of the songs from the vessel album. it's fresher. i love this song & i always will :)

This version and the RAB version are like an oxymoron to me. I absolutely the energy in this one during the chorus, it makes me feel strong, powerful, and energetic. Although, the RAB version doesn't have the energy, it has charm with its robotic chorus, there's something about it I love, mostly the way he says "Lovely".
