I visited the Aerodrome several times in the '70s with my daughter and wife. I recall seeing it fly with Cole Palen at the controls, the Hisso was smoking pretty heavily but didn't seem to detract from the performance. I'd guess the airframe has been restored since then, guessing the Hisso has had some work too. Liked the video, amazing how little the place has changed over the years.
My dad had his first airplane ride in a Jenny in 1923 with a barnstormer. When I was learning to fly in 1955, he would tell me stories and stories about flying in a Jenny.
Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome A PowerPoint project about the history of the beginning of flight, and I wrote about Curtiss and his aviation pioneering and inventions.
Hello, thanks for watching! We do not offer rides in the Curtiss Jenny but do offer rides in our 1929 New Standard D-25. For more information visit: oldrhinebeck.org/biplane-rides/
What a beautiful airplane and treat to see fly and hear your insights. Thank you for sharing.
That propeller starting move is wild! Beautiful machine. Thank you for the well-put vídeo.

Gorgeous plane
What a beauty!
Another great video. Really missed this place this year. Looking forward to spending time there in 21’.
I love the Jenny so much! I actually just did a project on Curtiss for BOCES.
That’s great! What kind of project?

Joe Carpino Very cool! Are you part of our Facebook group? If so, you should share it there, people would love to see it!
What is the background of the name 'Rhinebeck'
I'd like to hear the engine, and the wind like I was up there with you , absent the music. Nice video with the music turned off.
Golden Age Simulations will be modeling this aircraft for Lockheed Martin P3D and Legacy FSX
Do you offer rides in it?

@@OldRhinebeckAerodrome I've rode in that before. That's the only plane you offer rides in?
Rhinebeck? Hast that something to do with the rhineland-palatinate of Germany?
Beautiful video but would like less music and more discussion about flying the plane.
