Wow, you made that great journey from Sydney to London or somewhere nearby, and Madam, you just look great. You've egged on perma-suffering Geminis like me to be 'expressive', and given I am a Metal Tiger by Chinese zodiac, it could be a dangerous path. if you know what I mean. I tend to write too much, and these days, I've reversed course, i.e. learn to be 'mounam', as the word in Tamil says everything, i.e be still, quiet, and just be accepting of a lot of crazy things around the world, both near and far. Being 74 doesn't help, except for one big relief, i.e. no parental responsibilities, living simply is the operative style and mode everyday, and yes, even if the mind goes off wandering at night in my too many nightmares, during daytime, I 'control' my thoughts and do my best to control them absolutely. As for indlugences, such as simple glasses of red wine, esp. since the weather has improved dramatically today, it will come after a hard day's work in the garden tomorrow, but yes, there isn't really that much when one's 'plot' of Mother Earth is all of 120sqm! In fact, it’s such a unique way of exploring one’s own nature and personality-bringing focus and light onto the tendencies, gifts and strengths of an individual. In time, it would be so cool to do a full session with you to explore all of these aspects, including learning style, confidence, expression, leader ship, love languages through my chart. So fun!
♈️Thanks for this. You hit the nail on the head with Aries. Before I knew who I was I had zero confidence. Finding myself has definitely correlated with my confidence, just as losing sight of who I am has correlated with losing confidence. During 2020 I had the freedoms of time & money to not have to “code switch” or put on a certain face/voice/persona for anyone, especially at work. Similar to how retired people embrace a certain boldness of character for that same reason, not having to answer to anyone or satisfy anyone in order to survive. I even came to realize that the way people perceive me & react to me is much more pleasant when I’m exerting that confidence- in my voice, demeanor & persona. I was wrong all along to think that confidence would be taken negatively (due to childhood traumas). After that time, and until recently, I’ve had a really rough few years in my life, especially around work/finances. And losing the freedoms of time & money resulted in being stressed enough to “put on a face/voice” in order to make a living & survive again. And with that, my confidence hit a low. I’m still aware that my confidence is tied to me being my authentic self, but it is a struggle to let go of the compulsion to “be what people want me to be” in order to avoid all problems/setbacks & get ahead in life, even in my relationship. So I’ve been soft-spoken & passive, which just comes off as naive & shy even though I’m not those things. But people treat you based on how they perceive you. I’ve been working on reclaiming my confidence by doing exactly what you said here, being true to myself. My life has gotten easier of late and I’m getting back to consciously checkin myself and the compulsive behaviors that do more harm than good, making me seem naive & soft. I’ve come a long way from the low I hit but this video was very valuable to hear and an encouraging reminder of what I’ve learned through the years.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful new video with this interesting format. I get my confidence from making a difference, being effective and that is really important to me, which aligns with what the video says of being able to have a career in which my opinion is considered well (cancer)
