Yeah man. This is probably my favorite spot to fish. I'm sure you remember the fencing all around the backside of the walkways and entry point. That is all gone now. Lot of trash in all those concrete pads. It's sad but the main spot is always good times for fishing.
@@GerrodCarper Oh yeah, the fences, especially around the Alameda Naval Air Station. As teenagers, we'd go around those fences and into the coves, to get our bait for stripers.(at night of course.) At low tide, we'd dig up monster pile worms. When the tide came in, we'd wade knee-deep with a flashlight and a frog gig, spearing mudsuckers. (Gobies) A lot of fun!😎👍

I did land one at 45 inches in 1972. I was a weee lad then. I used to cut the fence to fish the wall. The MP's new me by name and would just use the megaphone to tell me to hurry up and get home. They got tired of walking out to get me. Good times. @@GerrodCarper
Nice Catches! I’ve been In and Out of Encinal Rock Wall since Summer Started. What Bait you Guys Used this Night? I think I’ve Bumped one of you Guys Couple Days Ago.
Thanks! We used sardines and Herring that night. Squid landed that small ray. But the sharks are definitely liking the fish baits right now. Yeah? Seen us at the Rockwall?
My old stomping grounds in the 60s 70s and 80s. My father's stomping grounds decades earlier. Great to see it's still a hotspot.
