  • Hello everyone,
    Welcome to the Fishing 247 channel.
    Today I went Bluefin Tuna fishing with my friends Josh and Eddy on my dream boat Bay Runner 20ft Baja. We launched out of Half Moon Bay harbor, Pillar Point. We fished 35 miles North West of Maverick. We mainly used Madmac lures to troll for Tuna. Please watch the video and let me know in the comment below about the video or any questions you may have. I really love to read all of your comments.
    It was the trip of my lifetime. I had a great time with my friends. I really appreciate Josh for working on my boat and putting me on the Tuna on my boat. I am just a beginner at Tuna fishing and have learned a lot from Josh and Eddy about this new type of fishing. I do not 100% agree with how Josh fights big Tuna, but I admire for his guts to break Tuna's will to fight.

    T Talking screaming reels was your clicker, sorry it's primary function is p/t free spool. you 3 talk the talk, as far as skills, very little. As far as safety too many to count! NEVER EVER GRAB A HOOK FROM A LIVE FISH! NOR PULL A BIG FISH WITH A GAFF IN A SMALL BOAT, THAT WAS DUMB!

      Hello brother. Thank you for taking your time to write a comment. As I always say, I love to read all the comments and appreciate everyone to take times to write them. I will Pin your comment on top so we can all learn one way or another. I do not have any bad intentions to put your comment on top.
      To respond to your comment, I have never told me kids they are dump because they make a mistake or did something wrong. I believe there is a way a civil way to help a person to learn from a mistake. I just go into BFT fishing so I still have a lot to learn and I am glad and appreciate when you or anyone show me my mistake and I will correct and be a better fisherman. I don't care what others said about the clicker should be on or off. I always love to have my clicker on even if it damage my reel. I love to hear the reel screaming and it give me joys. Each person have a preference of how to fight a fish.
      We have never said anything about how good we are in the video. We were just be ourselves and enjoyed our times on the water. To me, it is blessed just to be on the water with friends I enjoy with and catching fish is just a cherry on top. Of course our skills can't compare to many BFT fisherman out there and we are learning. We have been blessed with catching BFT for every trip we have gone on our boats.
      You can't just watching the video and can draw a conclusion of the whole picture. We did kill the fish before we took out the hooks. I edited the killing scene out because many people do not want to see or get offended by it.
      I do not see anything wrong with pulling the fish with the gaff into my little boat. I would really appreciate if you could tell us why it is wrong or dangerous so we learn instead of calling us DUMP.
      We are all just human beings and we all make mistakes in our life. If you show us in a civil way to correct our mistakes I really appreciate. I do not hate you or your comment because just your comment. I don't know you and I don't want to judge you. I would love if you say hello to me if you see me. You are just a friend I have not met yet. I do appreciate for your time to write me a comment. Good luck fishing and smile because we are all beautiful when we smile.

      How else are u gonna land a bft in a small boat that has no door to bring the fish in or using a rope
      No bft will fit in a net

      You need to dispatch the fish while it is in the water. Bat, spike, hammer, anything to kill the fish before the fish is brought into the boat. A fish that is over 50 lbs, can break legs if it wakes up and you have no room to get away from it. If you have three people fishing, I would have 3, probably 4 gaffs. With the small boat with less people on the boat, I would have a harpoon. This is especially true if you fish on your own. I've gone tuna fishing by myself, and needed all my gaffs, and wished I had my harpoon that day. Now I always bring it. And the more fish you land the easier it will be to put real pressure on the fish when it's straight up and down. I think inexperience makes anglers worry about losing their fish when it's close to the boat. But in truth, if you are fishing with 100-130lb, which you should be using if you have a 50W, then you can put a lot more pressure on the fish. Once you got vertical you can tighten the drag past strike. You can control the fish, and less time to land it, means the no lactic acid build up, that isn't good for the overall product . I am too old to have to keep bringing in the same line over and over again. Congratulations on the victory @@th3rmalvison445

      Thanks for the comment. Our kids today see people spoke everywhere. We can't hide from them. It is up to parents to control what their kids are watching. My channel show no kids under 18 watch my channel and I declared with RUclips that I don't make my videos for kids. I do not like people smoke because I quit smoking for 15 years. However, I don't mind if my friends smoke on my boat. Question why do yal keep the pole laying down while fighting the fish ? It might be better for yal to have the pole rise a bit more to keep a Ben in the rod and tension on the line it also helps you to see where the fish is going . But anyway a good video of the trip .

    • @Fishing247
      @Fishing247  Год назад

      We lost a huge BFT last year in SoCal because the position of the rod was high. We learned our lesson and got the bend butt rod and it was so easy to fight the fish in that position. It may looks awkward in the video but it works great that way and we caught two nice fish without any issues. Thanks for watching.

      Hello my friend. I love to respond to every comment. However, I can't answer your question because you already know the answer to your question. You know your boat, your motor and how your boat can handle on the water. You also know the range of your boat can go and how much gas you need for this type of fishing. The only thing I can tell you is trolling madmacs (average 12 g 14 mph) burns lots of gas. Good luck and safe fishing.

    • @Fishing247
      @Fishing247  Год назад +1

      Thanks for your information. We thought it is harder to run the boat while fighting the BFT. However. Josh's genious idea of glide the fish up high to fight so the fish don't do dead spiral/circle and it will be hard to fight time 300 yards straight down. That's was why we brought the big fish on the boat fast. I love Josh's technique. It is scary, but we trust in our gear to do that. Thanks for watching.
