So the other guy with Huell at the end is named Clarence, he actually made a brief cameo in El Camino as the pimp for the prostitutes the welding guys hired. Love when they keep bringing back these recurring side characters
He works for the vet(or whoever took after the vet after him and Saul left) By keeping the security job and never moving up in the criminal world he managed to outlive everyone else
I think in El Camino he's just a bouncer/driver for a strip club they hired, not a pimp. He fell into legit work after BCS and is clearly much better off for it than 99% of other BB/BCS character lmao. When he fell asleep, the girls just hit the door to wake him up like he's their coworker
It just occurred to me that given Mike's implied military service, he basically just thought of how rowdy young soldiers could be and what amenities would be needed for the Germans. Not to mention he was a cop of course.
The way I see it, BB/BCS depicts all kinds of different types of geniuses. Walt is a scientific/analytical genius, Gus is a business/operational genius, Jimmy is a charismatic/scheming genius, and Mike is a plan-making/tactical genius. Those are the 4 biggest examples but I can go on with Kim, Chuck, Lalo, Gale, Jesse, and Skyler who all had unique gifts/talents. (Also, Jane as an artistic genius and Skinny Pete as a musical genius 😂)
He's kinda like Mike. Always professional, rarely lets emotions get to him, and always reliable. Tyrus maybe an individual who made Mike gravitate towards Gus because Mike realized Gus hires the best individuals for the job. Always got a sense Mike respected Gus because of his professionalism and Tyrus was an extension of that.
I see Gus is patient by nature, and incredibly driven, especially when his personal sense of justice has been offended. If my theory is right, it is that quality that helped him be a drug dealing general in the Chilean army, and it's the same quality that helps him in this 25 year long revenge scheme. I would be more afraid of a guy who waits 2+ decades to take revenge on me, than say a Tuco like dude who will come after me the same evening. With the latter you know what's coming, while with Gus, his patience surpasses the ''revenge is a dish best served cold'' mantra, and goes into the realm of psychopathic obsession.
5:07 Gus and Mike are amazing to watch together. Both are experts at what they do and respect each other in their own way. I feel these two could accomplish anything as a team regardless of what scenario is put before them.
As cool as the story building with Gus is, I feel like it retcons his character arc in breaking bad a bit. The pool flashbacks with his partner getting killed draw us into his character as a reasonable man who was driven to do unreasonable things for revenge. It implicates him as a good person before his partner was killed, and this story contradicts that narrative
My buddy got in on a pyramid scheme in high school and i felt so bad for him. i told him it was shady and a straight up scheme but he wouldnt believe me. glad he got out of that phase fairly quickly and learned his lesson. it was basically a "phone plan company" where you pay your phone bills through this company and "it would be cheaper. and if you get people under you to pay their bills through the company you get a part of their bill as commission". its insane how such smart people fall into such traps.
Yeah. Jimmy getting the better of those kids that jumped him before is VERY satisfying. The scenarios between Jimmy and them reminds me of Sandler and the four brothers in Punch-Drunk Love. Chase and all. And if you haven't seen Punch-Drunk Love yet... There's a cool movie reaction video waitin' for ya'. It's fuckin wild :)
Get rich quick schemes never work.. Unless you're already rich. If you have 1mil it's easy to make 100k in a short period of time. But if you have 0 it's a struggle to make 100k
Even then it won’t be easy. I live as a full time carer for my mum. We lost my dad and brother in 2017 & 2020. My brother had a life insurance policy and my dad and mum got a loan in 1976 to buy our house which cost $25,000 at the time and is now worth over 1.2 million. This will all go to me in a few years and l don’t have a clue how to invest it. Plus l don’t know any accountants or financial advisors that l would be able to trust.
@@Paul77ozee can you live on $50,000 a year? High yield savings accounts pay close to 5% annually. 5% of a million is 50k. You'll get that every year and never have to touch the 1 mil. You should probably spread it out across multiple accounts tho because the limit for insured money I think is 250,000 so if something happens beyond that you'd be in a bad position. But that's the easy mode button if you want to just chill and not have to work again.
(Spoilers) It’s just heartbreaking to see these moments earlier in the series where Jimmy could have pulled out of his developing obsession with “revenge” on Howard.

facts
I can't even imagine how good that "Fuck you, Jimmy" must have felt after all the years of putting up with Chuck and Jimmy's shit.
Not very namaste though
That was all in the span of a single year, even, I'm pretty sure.
Agreed, I loved Patrick Fabian's delivery of that line.

Also, critical thinking
It isn't implied, it's blatantly stated at some point in the show that Mike was a Marine sniper in Vietnam.
I love Tuesdays. Cause that means james reacts to BCS. I cant wait for seasons 5 and 6. It gets wild and unexpected. Looking forward to your thoughts.
Happy to hear it homie!

crazy.
I’m so glad I’m not the only person who loves Tyrus.

Anything except managing a 49 year old chemistry teacher on death’s door.
A lot of people interpret parts of the story as Gus talking about his lover, who would be his partner in los pollos hermanos
The definition of locking in.

Much love!
Knew what was coming as soon as you said you could listen to Gus tell a bedtime story. IMO one of the most horrifying scenes in BCS.
I think a lot of today’s kids need a lesson like this.
I love the homage to The Long Good Friday.
This man Mike
Saul looking like a mob boss lmao 😂

James, consider the series Interview with the Vampire, pleeeease 🙏🏼 Still criminally under the radar, top notch quality overall!!!
