Errata: I didn't account for minimum IVs for weather boosted Pokemon when calculating the minimum, maximum, mean, and median CPs of weather boosted Sneasels. They have minimum IVs of 4/4/4. With these changes the new numbers are: Weather-Boosted Median: 1128.0 Weather-Boosted Mean: 1113.8045524691358 Weather-Boosted Max: 1904 Weather-Boosted Min: 298
2:46 For index finger throw you use your full arm, while for thumb throw you only use that sole finger. I myself also use my thumb, but I can aim just as good with my index finger although never really practiced that 😌 It was a decision of me when I started the game about a year ago. I was aware of different techniques, but I decided using my thumb because it's less flashy and felt more natural. Of course, the limited range of motion is a huge downside. But there's no ideal way of doing things. A good player needs to be versatile. I also roll the ball counterclockwise, but when I have to I practice it another way around as well.
They throw a ton of Pokeballs/items at you in the early game, because they know people are going to bump into storage limits quickly and get impatient... which means cha-ching.
The first time I ran into the storage limits I was so confused. Didn't realize I should be transferring bad stuff, or even what items were considered bad. It's rough for new players, and the starting storage limits are soooo low!
Hah, a fun video. And some nuggets of good knowledge in here! I had a friend a few weeks ago I was leaving their place after a visit I mentioned I was going to drop my daily incense. They commented about how useless it is as they never get any extra spawns. Didn't understand(as I didn't once upon a time) that you need to be walking at a brisk pace and ideally in a relatively straight line. I like using it towards the end of my evening walk as I'm heading home to hopefully end on a high note. Going to get that galarian moltres eventually!
As with many things, I wish the game was way more clear about the walking requirement and how fast exactly you need to go to maximize it. It would be nice if there was a red->green background color on the active incense that shows you the current spawn rate based on your speed, for instance.
Haha, this was great. Spot on over-analysis, you didn't miss anything I'd have had to say. OK, one quibble on the Sneasel - if you've got a trade partner with Pokemon from over 100km away, then just having a Sneasel in your bag to trade is way more valuable for XL candy than getting to a 1-in-10 chance on the catch. Since I've already got good Sneasel, I'd take the easy stardust and candy over having to hope the level 20 or over would stay in the ball!
Good point. Although in this case there's no risk of not getting the Sneasel since apparently it has a 0% flee rate. So you'd be able to trade regardless.

I agree. Mastering a variety of techniques is fun and useful! Thumb is super useful if you only have one hand free.
Nooo not two of my unrelated hyperspecific youtube channels being connected
Nooooo

Btw I loved the video. It doesn't really matter to me if it's not that serious. As soon as I saw it's overanalyzed I was hooked 😂
